[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE In-Wall Duplex Receptacle with Built-In Light-Sensing LED Night Light was so very easy to install. It provides a soft low light night light under my kitchen cabinets. We loved how it gives off a nice subtle glow. We will be installing more under our cabinets to upgrade the look of our kitchen.

I was skeptical at first about this product because the installation seemed difficult. However, it was simple to install and extremely helpful! The light sensing technology makes me feel much safer when coming home at night or being home alone. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a guide light! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE receptacle with the built in LED night light is a nice tamper resistant outlet. The night light however is dim and does not provide a typical level of light that a night light offers. The dimness of the light is why I only gave 3-stars. As a general outlet it is nice and looks great. It provides a light that can guide you but not provide light to navigate in a dark bathroom. I would recommend this receptacle but would not recommend if the customer is looking for a “night light” and power outlet in one.

Not the best receptacle for a house built in the 70's or 80's. Make sure you have a larger box in the wall before installing. I ordered 5 and 1 was crossed and popped the breaker so look out for that. The light isn't at all as bright as you'd hope for and as presented in the picture. Other than that- the light sensing at dusk and dawn is accurate.

The LED is so dim it illuminates ONLY itself. Tested in a pitch black room, it casts no light on no other objects in the space. It is useless as a night light. The positive reviews here are bogus and misleading, as is the description "Night Light".
