GE Unitized Spacemaker® 2.3 cu. ft. Capacity Washer with Stainless Steel Basket and 4.4 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised at the capacity in the washer. It holds much more, without crowding, than I had expected. It also offers many cycles to choose from. The noise level is fine, it's only loud momentarily when it changes cycles. Mine is in the kitchen & doesn't impact any conversations, tv or radio listening. Dryer heats well & thick towels are dried relatively quickly. Its compact size fits seamlessly along the kitchen cabinets. We're very happy with the washer dryer combo, couldn't live without it now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation went without a glitch. I find the Capacity fine for a medium load. The machine, as others have said, isn't as quiet as some, but mine is in a main entrance hall that is next to the kitchen and near the living room--we've not been bothered by the noise level. The cycles are much faster than my previous washer/dryer which I appreciate. And, the clothes are clean!! Finally, it fits into a small closet. I've had difficulty in the past with units that are too wide to get into the space without removing the door and molding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Average noise, wiggles a bit, but the cycles are fast and efficient - really can't beat it for a small family with older kids. The capacity is perfect for a smaller load. The lint filter is in the door, and easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing the w/d was as expected except the sharp points of screws in the area where my arms needed to reach to install the vent and hoses. Lots of scratches, maybe the factory could grind those off or something at some point to save some blood and pain?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capacity of the washer is great. Performance is great. It is quiet operation. One problem with the design, the lint catcher on the dryer is on the door, bad design. When you open the dryer, the lint comes out on the floor and the whole front of the dryer has lint on it.

Capacity replaced in btwn size to my prior stacker, older size was not available. Dryer door mesh not efficient enough. Have to wipe out and rubber seams collect fluffs too often. Like the stainless shiny interior of washer tho. Wish I could put liquid soap in w/ lid open running water to soak. It seems I have to put in prior to locking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a very small closet that had an old washer dryer. I chose this replacement washer because it had the shortest depth. It holds one set of king sheets. I wish it was larger but it is much faster than a bigger one I own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was quick and easy. Our king size comforter is a tight fit, but otherwise no issues so far. The dryer itself is pretty quiet, the washing machine can get a bit noisy depending on the size of the load and timing of the cycle. But for the price, I'm happy with the purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are really only a few washer/dryer towers that are available in this specific size so GE was our choice. The washing machine drum has a surprisingly large capacity, which is a nice feature since the size as a whole has to be relatively small. For customers going from an older unit with less computer components and lower Energy Star Ratings you should be aware that the wash cycles tend to be rather long, as they are in most washers now as well. My mother, who I bought this unit for, was convinced that it wasn't working correctly because the heavy/larger cycle took so long, so be sure to look up the general times it takes so as not to be too surprised. These machines are made to do most of the work in the washer so that the dryer has less to do. Our only complaints so far is that the agitation cycle on the washer makes a bizarre grinding/whirring noise that is pretty loud and takes some time to get used to. Otherwise, it appears to work well.

Complete garbage. Handle pulled off when opening dryer door! Knobs are cracking in several places. Rubber liner on dryer door is tearing & comes off a lot. Dryer plastic vent slide- that covers the lint screen- 2 tabs broke & it fell off. Absolutely & totally ridiculous. Dryer never gets very warm & the rinsing is terrible.
