I used on a small rip in a down coat, the repair made with this tape is almost invisible. Its more like a cloth, but goes on like tape. Not cheap considering the size of roll, but it works!
I purchased this tape for a hole in my rain suit burnt by the exhaust pipe on motorcycle. Rain suit was a dark blue and the tape was black, after repair I could not tell where the repair was. Very pleased with this tape. I also purchased a leather elbow patch to sew over patch but may not do it because the tape did such a good job repairing it. I also put tape on the inside of the leg and bonded the tape together through hole. I recommend this tape for the type of repair I had.
This is an awesome product. I used it on my son's favorite travel bag and it is holding up well. On some parts of the bag I also used some seam repair goo that comes in a tube by the same manufacturer just in case. I will buy this again and again for repairs. So much better than throwing something out that you love.
My ottoman has a padded removable top. The leather-like vinyl covering the top has worn away in some spots. I got Tenacious Tape to try to mend these holes. 1. Application was a lot easier than I thought. I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol. I trimmed the tape with scissors to fit the area. I removed the tape from its backing and simply attached it to the area I wanted patched. 2. The ottoman is a very dark brown with a leather-like finish. The tape has a fabric finish and it's black. I was concerned that they might not match very well. But even though I covered a very large area, 3x9.5 inches, it is not that noticeable in the living room's lower light. So I was really pleased about that. (In brighter light, the difference might be more noticeable.) 3. The tape is a lot more pliable than I thought it would be. I've known duct tape that was stiffer. I was concerned that the tape might not hold up well or come loose at the edges. So far that hasn't been the case. 4. The instructions talked about pressing out air bubbles and in the case of holes, putting some tape on one side and then tape on the other side. Neither was possible with my ottoman. But the tape adhered well nonetheless. I ordered another box of tape in case I need to patch other areas on the ottoman.
My favorite winter parka got two burn marks from a grill (yep) on one of the sleeves. I checked with the outlet (LLB) that I had bought it from years ago to see if they could repair it. They couldn't but highly recommended Tenacious Tape. I ordered it from Walmart, it soon arrived. The tape is easy to apply and blended in rather nicely with the surrounding nylon coat fabric. The Tenacious Tape works!
Best tape for outdoor clothing!
This product worked well to repair a 2" burn in my jacket from a woodstove. I watched YouTube videos for the technique and it is hardly noticeable.
Worked fantasti, jacket repair
First: good price and fast shipping, plus great shopping through Walmart even though this product is sold by another vendor - I trust Walmart. The product does it's job so far. There's enough to use for multiple rips in fabric. I let my kids cut out a shape that's interesting for the patch. Overall, great experience with the product and the seamless service.
We loved the stickers and decided to get a roll to repair bigger tears in our kids outdoor clothes. So far so good, very durable, and we like to use a little bit of heat from the hair dryer to set it better.
