GearWrench 3680 Ratcheting Wrench Serpentine Belt Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh,man does this tool make serpentine belts a breeze. I have other serpentine belt tools but this one is the best I have used. Normally on this truck I remove the hoses to get at the belt, but the way this tool works I was able to reach and pull back the tensioner with ease. What a time saver. It is built heavy duty and comes in a case to keep it all together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using one of these tools for a couple of years wishing that I could get one myself. My review will include all the users of my boss's and this one. There is no better tool for serpentine belt jobs. The adjustability built in to this tool allows you to get to the idle slack from anywhere in the engine bay. We'll, maybe not anywhere, but darn neat. I work at a Delgado and have to replace belts a lot. This to has made that job easy. The infinite positioning avaliable allows you to find the set spot on a belt removal/ install. Some tensioner would be impossible to get to with a traditional belt till, this tool has the ability to move your handle into it is on a position that allows you to fully disengage the tensioner. No more hoping you'll have room once on the tensioner, just move the ratchet on the arm to allow you to get the swing you need. I've been recommending this tool even before I had my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is perfect for tight places, It provides a multi angle extension handle to the tool that allows you to get excellent leverage with a really small foot print. I would absolutely recommend using this. The sizing in this kit is also comprehensive the sockets included fit snugly into the tool and have a very slim profile. Both the handle and the tool/ wrench have quality finishes and a clear stamped size. Both feel quality in the hands and after several uses i haven't noticed any degradation of the socket detents, and leaves little to no witness marking when finished. One thing that would be a nice improvement to the kit would be the inclusion of a 19mm crows foot attachment. Also the casting base of the crows foot attachments are a little bulky at the receiver for the 3/8 attachment, but the sockets for the kit do help alleviate this initial issue if you have the room to fit it.

For the price you cant beat it. Its gearwrench so you know it'll last a while. Made working on the ranger much easier. Suggest any who does their own maintenance to get this kit. It comes with different sockets or crowsfeet and plug adapters for use on many makes.

It allows multiple ways to get set up to tackle a belt job with multiple ways to attack from a shallow socket to the claw foots. The bar is long to get plenty of leverage. Love the case for the ease of transport as well.

The kit can be used as a 3/8, 1/2 or 3/4 Rachet. It also comes with 13-19mm sockets can be used with the ratcheting wrench to remove or tighten any 13-19mm bolts or nuts. When using for serpentine belts the comfort gripped extension arm is very long and comfortable and with the slim design is very easy to use.

The serpentine belt tool worked great, better than the one it replaced, I am glad I purchased it.

I looked over the tool after it arrived and looks like fairly good quality. I liked the ratcheting feature and a good selection of sockets. Some others I looked at were a bit chincy on the sockets. I have not used it yet so I couldn't give it an excellent rating!

This set got the job done right off the bat. It also is very versatile to different types of tensioners. It's well made and comes with a case you can't beat it along with a lifetime warranty.
