Geeni Smart Wi-Fi Outlet With USB-C and USB-A Fast Charging, Voice Control, Alexa Compatible

I decided to replace an outlet with this smart outlet. Now, I can control a light with my voice as I'm walking to that room and there will be light when I get there. For some reason, the only light switch is on the opposite side of the room when inside. If you want to turn on the light when you're coming in the house, it's by the door, but if you're coming through the kitchen, you have to cross a dark room to get to the switch! I connected this outlet to both Alexa %26 Google Home so no matter where I am in the house, I can turn the light on or off. Can even do it from my phone with either one as well.

I really like this product. Here's why: ***Notes to remember: This is a 15 amp outlet, that needs at least a 2.25" deep outlet box (Not a standard box), %26 only runs on 2.4 GHZ WiFi. Your wiring MUST include a ground wire, NOT just Black %26 White wires... PROS: 1) Easy to Setup %26 Install. Scan the QR Code in the instruction manual, take the cover off the outlet, attach your 3 wires %26 screw the outlet to the box. Then re-attach the cover-plate. Open the App,, add the Smart outlet, %26 adjust any settings that you want. 10 minutes %26 your done... 2) Quality: It has a solid construction, sturdy, %26 doesn't have a cheap look to it... 3) Looking at other Smart Outlets, this is priced at the bottom end ($25 - $50 / Outlet), so Fairly reasonable. I wouldn't go out %26 replace every single outlet in your home with them, just a few where it would be handy to have a built-in USB jack. A normal outlet costs $1 - $5, so it is quite a jump... 4) Controllable without being controlled: I refuse to put a Alexa, Google, Or anyone else's controller in my house. It's nice to see someone including a product that you can control without falling prey to data gatherers. You can use them as well to control this outlet IF you want... CONS: Only one that I could find: No warranty. The Walmart listing, instruction manual, %26 box don't mention any warranty. They also don't list a phone number, just their support online. If I paid $27 for a smart outlet, it needs to have at least a 1-Year Warranty. Otherwise, you're safer buying a normal outlet, as how often have you seen one of those go bad? OVERALL: Good quality, easy to setup %26 install, and not a bad price. Without a warranty, I gave it 4 stars, so Low-Marks for No Warranty, but High-Marks for everything else...

Great Smart Outlet. It has child-proof with permanent Tamper-Resistant Receptacles (TRRs) with built-in shutters. 2 USB options, A %26 C. Good wifi connection. Very Friendly Geeni App. Works great with Google Home. Only disadvantage is that the junction box needs to be deep. This outlet can't be used in an old style metal junction box unless you renovate your electrical system since the metal junction boxes aren't deep enough to fit. Overall, make sure to check your home and find out which outlet you want to replace with this smart one because of the junction box depth makes a huge difference in your determination. Good luck.
