I like having the information at my hand at anytime anywhere.
It dosen't work to far away from the router. We needed something to let us know when the temperature got down to 5 degrees. This doesn't go down that far. Looks like something you would get at the five and dime store. It works great in the next room. My router puts out 1 gig. Everything in the front yard and back work great this just doesn't have the range capabilities.
I have spent the past few days trying to get this thing to work with using it to trigger heaters in various rooms in my house. I will set a scene like “when below 21 degrees c -> control single device -> bedroom heater:on.” And name that scene heat on bedtime.” Then I will set another scene like “when above 21.5 -> control single device -> bedroom heater off” And then have much lower temp for sleep and then raise them temp for waking using similar scenes. When I wake in the morning one bedroom will be 15 degrees and another 22 - both with the same commands. When I look at the automation history it will have triggered the turn on command and then just failed to even acknowledge the cut off temp and stayed on. So instead I tried using “temperature is 21 -> control single device -> bedroom heater: reverse switch” This seemed to work better as it would turn on when dropping past the temp and off when going up again - but alas just woke up to my room being 22.5 (cut off temp failed at midnight) Not sure if it just won't sync commands over into the next day - will try that next but disappointed with the lack of function.
