Another great water dector by GEEVON. Loud, easy to set up, reasonable price. we have used detectors for years due to various water heater and AC unit problems that leaked water. love this Geevon brand in two different styles and this one has a probe for tight spots. Ordered as gift for a water leak detection near the dishwasher and it has a probe as well that detects. Great for areas that are tight or inclosed too like a dishwasher. There are two arrows on the side that you twist to line arrows up then pull top offf. (I believe counter clockwise) to open the unit, then plug the 9volt b a ttery in and DON'T FORGET before you close ^turn the inside power switch on^. Close the unit by twisting the top in the opposite direction. After the unit is closed plug the probe in and test the probe and bottom contact points with a damp finger(Again read the instructions get your magnafying glass out or scan it in your phone and magnify it.) I would not mount on the wall if you can use both the probe and unit in a couple of places within cord reach or together I caecked and all sensors work. These arenott WIFI units. Shipped by Walmart came fast. Great gift idea.
