A nice little unit and a nice display. Would have been nice if it had an option to remotely power it to keep the display lit, instead you have to touch it to bring on the backlight. That’s the only reason I rated the display as 4/5.
It’s nice that it included batteries and it was pretty easy to set up. The temperature reading I believe is right on, I suspect that the humidity might be off by just 2-3% based on my standard. The manual refers to being able to put in an offset to correct any error, but the description on how to do it in the manual is insufficient. Being able to add an offset is great as far as keeping it accurate for years to come. I’ve reached out to their tech support for an explanation on how to do it and I’m waiting for a response.
Over all, I like the unit. It’s WIFI via SmartLife which I already had the network. The app is included if you need it and the data, including trends, are displayed on your phone. SmartLife also allows you to run scenes (programs) to other WiFi modules, but don’t let that scare you if you don’t have any. Take note that the unit won’t be accurate for roughly 30 minutes when you first power it up per the manual.
