it showed inside and a remote (1st floor) temperature as well as high and low temperatures plus the current time. It has clear digital figures. So far it appears to be accurate. you need to supply 4-AAA batteries. Also has a light for viewing in dark rooms.
This is an accurate thermometer that I use to monitor my garage refrigerator/freezer. It shows high and low temperatures for record and also shows time and temperature for inside. Reads easily yet is small for my chair side table.
It works great, it has a button on top to light it up in the dark. I use it in my camper where I can constantly see the temperature inside an out. I also have one at home where I can monitor the temp in my detached garage.
It doesn't keep temperature accurate and if you go too far, it won't read the temperature from outside
Directions in ad did not included need to have it plugged in to electric. Temps do not compare with old thermostat %26 reports of temp on IPhone. Overall, bit of a disappointment.
The thermometer was smaller than I expected, it didn’t match the temperature with the other devices I have, and there was something wrong with the charging plug - it was difficult to get it to come on, but it finally did… until we unplugged it again. On the up-side, it was well lit when it did work. It was returned for a different devise.
Don't bother. Not at all user friendly, plus it needs to be plugged into an outlet (the inside part does take 2 AAA batteries for "data storage"). It will require a USB adapter or charging block since the power cord is a USB cord (A C). I couldn't get the screen to stay on, and the supposed button to control it isn't actually there. The thing was exercise in frustration and will go into the round file. Too many other better options out there.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! It's tempting because the price is good, but sometimes you get what you paid for and this is pure junk. It will tell you the inside air temp fine, but anytime you want an outdoor reading, you have to take the batteries out and back in to reset it because the “reset” directions that come with it don't actually do anything. The reading seems pretty accurate when it works, but it works less than 10% of the time.
The instrument worked perfectly for several months, thru power outages and being unplugged. A short time back I unplugged it for a couple of hours. When I reconnected it to power the display would work accurately for about 10 sec. After putting my finger on the "snooze light". I wonder if Walmart would replace it for me?
Although it looks really nice, it was 10 degrees higher then the actual temperature inside and outside. I could understand a couple degrees off, but that was too much. So I had to return it.
