My history with these in-outdoor weather stations made me very reluctant to buy another one. This one just about does everything for you though. Great little desk clock. Even has a moon phase graphic that marks the seconds. Buy it. It will make you happy.
Had a little bit of trouble getting the outdoor sensor to synch with the display unit. Once it started working I have been nothing but pleased with its performance. Display is bright and easy to read. My previous unit only provided indoor information and it's nice to now get outdoor data as well. Outdoor sensor appears to be somewhat accurate. It's usually within a degree or two of what my phone is reporting. Would make a great gift for Christmas!
Great deal, Large display, Easy to see and work really good. If you use batteries instead of electric power the light doesn't stay lit up until you touch it and then it lights back up in color. Either way you can clearly see it unless it's dark.
Happy arrived smooth shipping! I am disappointed that it doesn't come with batteries for the indoor and outdoor sensors should be a note or something at time of order or when shopping as I was expecting it to work out of box but no and was surprised especially most items at least include them if not installed but in packaging but what can you do.
It arrived fairly quickly and shipping box etc. were in good condition. Setup was OK but instructions could have been better suspect some of which is related to Chinese language issues. But most of the startup issues you can figure out on your own. Display is bright and nice but can be dimmed if needed and is a touchscreen. Accuracy appears good for both inside and outside my home. I hung the outdoor sensor about 50 ft from base under the house overhang and almost immediately received readings. The sensor did survive a severe thunderstorm with 40 mph winds! Forecasting is Ok considering that it mostly uses humidity and pressure, I suspect. I really like the fact that base uses a cord rather than batteries to power it. My wish would be that outside sensor used maybe solar rather than batteries, but this feature probably would be beyond the selling price point.
This product adequately serves the purpose I bought it for and is accurate when compared to the weather forecasts. Maybe it is more accurate at times. I wanted the colorful display, so I paid more for this version. I am very happy with this product. It even has a clock displayed but I don't use the alarm. It would be an option if needed. Although the clock display is not large enough to see from across a small room. Also, the moon phase is displayed. Which might be a plus for someone into astrology.
Set up is more involved than necessary. Should be simpler setting up the parameters for hi-lo reading and setting time, etc. once set up it seems to be a solid tool at a reasonable price.
you can only read the screen if you're right in front of it, the touchscreen hardly works and the instructions do not make sense, English is not their first language
I purchased this unit 2 months ago and it has stopped displaying the outdoor temperature despite changing the batteries and following the troubleshooting guide. WalMart referred me to the manufacturer in China. Also, I chose this unit specifically because the description stated it displayed the dewpoint, it does not!
I never got to use it. Arrived without the power cord, outside sensor or any instructions. I immediately contacted the seller. They assured me that it would be taken care of. Every time I contracted them, I was told they were working on it. I finally, almost a month later, started a return through Walmart today. I really tried to give the company a chance and they failed miserably.
