I love this nail polish, it has a nice color and is long lasting, however it can be streaky if you apply thin coats. It's easy to be precise with the thin brush. It has helped my nails a ton to use a strengthener as a base coat. My nails last well over a week (and that's for someone who is constantly doing dishes and keeping the house clean). Highly recommend!!
Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish is living up to its hype! This is my first time to use it and after 4 days, it still looks good. I'm a little concerned about not using a base coat, but followed their instructions to use the polish on bare nails, followed by this clear top coat.
Most of the time, I just want a nail polish that looks subtle, but elegant. Sheer Fantasy is exactly that - it's that little bit of "you, but better." I can wear a single coat with a matte topcoat to look like I'm not wearing polish at all, or I can layer it to build up the color. Versatility win!
This may be one of my new favorite nude creme shades. Princess Charming is very similar to OPI's Somewhere Over the Rainbow Mountains, but it definitely lasts longer on my nails. As someone with cool toned fair skin, it's taken me forever to try all the colors that might suit my skin tone, but this one was definitely worth the wait.
As a gardener, it's difficult finding a polish that can stand up to digging, planting, and weeding. This polish didn't even chip! It's a good product for those who are hard on a manicure. Also, the design of the brush stem keeps it neat and clean and the polish covers well with one coat.
I've been a fan of Essie for so long now. I adore the vast shade selection, especially the new summer colours. My go to has to be drip drip followed by this gorgeous top coat that shines beautifully. Great quality and lasts all week without chipping !
This is the only bottle of nail polish I have ever repurchased. It's my most complimented color by a mile and the perfect warm weather red!! Application is so easy and the formula is so solid. Will always be a fan!!
This is an excellent top coat! It dries super fast and it is super shiny. I was given a sample to try from PINCHme, which I used along with the Essie Luxurious Couture Color in a coral shade called "On The List." (#210). Because this process does not require a UV or LED light, in just 5 minutes you can have a fabulous gel manicure! Save your money honey, and skip the salon this week...The results are that good! I did not use any base coat, and I used 3 coats of color (directions say to use only 2) followed by 1 coat of the GelCouture top coat and I could not be any happier with the results. The formula of the polish lays down nicely on the nail and also fills in ridges and bumps very, very well ensuring that you get a smooth glass-like look when you are done. The top coat dries really fast, reducing the change of the dreaded smudge. I am so impressed with this system and I will be checking out all the colors in this line next time I am shopping for nail colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this top coat, along with the gel shade in “Closing Night”. This was my first time trying Essie gel polish —previously, I had only ever used their regular nail varnish. I applied it, and was satisfied to find that, both the gel, and top coat lasted for at least a week and a half. No chipping!! This made me very happy, as normally with regular nail polish, I am constantly having to repaint them (I am a Flight Attendant, so our nails always have to look en pointe). I am very satisfied with these, and am definitely looking forward to trying some of their other spring gel colors, love it!!! *I received this product free for testing
I am not a big nail polish user -- I only get or give myself a manicure once or twice a year -- so this will not be a review informed by a lot of nail polish experience. However, I do know that the gel manicures I've had have lasted weeks and weeks on end with no chipping or wearing away. I LOVE this color. It's a much more vibrant purple than the dull tone shown in the product photo. The application was easy; the brush design does indeed help achieve a good application. Initially I used two coats of color and one top coat. The next day, I noticed that the polish was wearing away at the tips, so I added more color just on the tips and added another all-over top coat. The first photo shown was taken after that. I did not take any special care of this manicure, except for while it was still drying. The color didn't chip for a little over a week, but it did wear away at the tips as shown in the second photo. By day 11, it had chipped quite a bit, as seen in the third and fourth photos. However, the color of the polish that remains is still gorgeous, and the polish is still shiny and has no cracks. Far from what I would expect from a gel manicure, but still pretty good, in my opinion, especially since I didn't take any special care not to damage the paint job.
