Gel Press Monoprinting Print Plate - 8” X 10” Gel Plate

I"m taking a class in collage material preparation , and I plan to use the gel plate to make a large number of painted pieces of paper that I will use in collages later. I like to make pictures by preparing the surface of the canvas with collage, stenciling, and making textured statements with Golden Acrylic modeling paste.

I started with a 5x7 Gelli plate and soon found myself wanting the 8 x 10 but didn't want to spend the money on it. I tried making a homemade one with no luck at all. It was a total waste of time and money. When I saw this one for this price I thought it was worth a try. It's every bit as good as a Gelli plate at a much lower price.m I am very happy with it!

Although I didn't get this gel plate at $15.59 (I paid $19+) I think I got a bargain. Almost a third less than the "real" Gelli Plate on offer, and I can't imagine that one working any better than this less expensive one. I chose the 8x10" as you don't have to use the entire plate, just whatever size you're working on. Great bargain for beginners who don't have much to shell out on crafts.

This gel plate is very easy to use and really makes wonderful mono prints. I use water base mono print colors. Can be diluted to get a a variety of effects. Easy to print, experiment with papers. I highly recommend, it's very fun to use.

The 8 x 10 gel plate was perfect for a Mono printing workshop. I did recommend the plate and online ordering through Walmart to a friend.The service through Walmart was easy and convenient. With our new gel plates the workshop was a success and fun.

Easy to make prints with this gel plate. Cleans up easily too. Fun to use too. I highly recommend PolyGel in all sizes.
