This is my favorite nail polish. The color is absolutely beautiful. I get so many compliments when I have it on my nails. I think it looks like i have jewels or mini galaxies on the ends of my fingers. I end up staring at the gorgeous color quite often during the day.

Gellen Cat Eye polish

frances March 10, 2026

The polish is a good gel; however the color was different than I thought it would be based the pictures. I did end up liking the color but the cat eye also did not work the way I expected (and I have several cat eye polishes). Overall the price was good but I am not sure I would be it again.

Pretty good if you know what you're doing.

This magnetic polish is pretty good. The metal can fade quickly when the magnet is placed in certain areas and not reappear well. This might be more user error than anything though. When magnetized correctly, the color and glitter of the cateye polish is excellent.

It’s easy to apply and very pretty. I didn’t understand what to do with the magnetic stick. There were no instructions. It comes off easily just soaking in water, which is much kinder to your hands. I’d buy it again.

I love and hate this gel polish at the same time. You'll need a contrasting colored base under, this turns like a lightish grey, with rainbow cats eye effect. Getting this one to pattern right is a really pain, but when it does come together, my god is this pretty. Just finicky, and again, choose the color under it wisely. The grey really doesnt look good over some colors. I'd buy it again though, it's a gorgeous effect when paired right.

Not the advertised color.

GELLEN M122 (Silver Cat Eye UV/LED polish) Not as advertised. Yes, it is an 18ML bottle of magnetic (cat eye) UV/LED gel polish, which includes a magnet. NO, it is NOT the pure/true silver shown in the advertised photos. (Full review directly under Pros/Cons list.)           *PROS* - Although the color is NOT as advertised, it's still appealing, in my opinion. - Good consistency in texture %26 and color coverage. - Quality container/bottle. (Despite the reflective cap.) - Arrived promptly %26 well packaged. - The provided magnet was strong %26 made with a comfortable, flexible grip.           *CONS* - Inaccurate color. - Requires 3 minutes or more to properly cure. - Dull magnetic effect. - Less than smooth/glossy finish. - The reflective cap is extremely problematic in any well-lit space. It can be absolutely blinding when used under any assisted lighting. (Working under any lamp or in a salon requires extra awareness so as not to cause damage to oneself or others.)           *FULL REVIEW* It's MOSTLY silver %26 it is quite pretty (in my opinion). However, it is by no means the perfect silver color shown in the advertised photos. It contains random chameleon-like flakes, which are significantly larger than the magnetic silver. The chameleon-like flakes are not magnetic %26 the magnetic effect is not as bold as it could... or even... should be. This is not the fault of the magnet or improper application. I used various magnets %26 am well educated in the field of cosmetology. Furthermore, the cure time with a (salon-quality) UV lamp is around 3 minutes or more. Again, this is not an issue of application as I used properly thin, layered coats. The photos I've provided are done with the following effects, in order, starting with the left %26 ending on the right... 1.) Standard cat eye/tiger eye effect. This means that the magnetic flakes/sparkles in the polish have been maneuvered inward on the nail. Resulting in an oval-like collection of glitter (typically in the center of the nail), which catches light in a similar way to that of a feline at night. Hence the name. (This effect is the result of carefully rocking your magnet in a crescent motion at the edges of the nail on either side until the magnetic glitter has collected in the center.) 2.) Angled stripe. Self-explanatory. (Simply wave the magnet over the nail at an angle starting from the edge of your choice.) 3.) French tip polish. (This effect is a result of slowly guiding the magnetic glitter starting at the bottom/nail bed towards the tips with a magnet.) BEGINNERS TIP: Never touch the polish with the magnet. Wave the magnet over the polish (before it's cured) as close to the nails as you can get without actually touching. Use a stronger magnet on heavier polishes (heavier meaning - higher magnetic glitter content) to give yourself a better understanding. Always get to know your magnets. Positive vs negative is important for proper applications.
