GelPro Elite Traditional Linen Black Kitchen Mat, 20 in x 36 in

I like the mat very much. We have had one for the kitchen. We got this one for the bathroom. The only problem that I have, and it's quite significant . . it get VERY slippery when it's wet. As we're no longer teens, or even close!, falling is a big concern for us.

I finally decided to take the plunge and get a real solution to cushion my feet while standing for long periods in the kitchen. Walking on the GelPro is certainly a phenomenal alternative to my previous floor coverings, and it's a remarkably well made luxury for my food prep hours and a true pleasure to stand on. However, one problem with these mats is that they slip constantly. I have a pretty good quality linoleum kitchen floor, and despite the claim that these GelPro products don't slip, in fact, they do. And constantly. I tried anchoring them using some undercarpet non-slip cushioning, and it STILL slips. Every two days or so, I have to lift up the GelPro and pull it back from where it has moved and reposition it to where it's supposed to be. If it weren't for the migration, I'd easily rate this a five, but until I find a solution, it's a four.

Bought the mat about 6 weeks ago. Feels great on my feet. However, it moves on my hardwood floor which is puzzling since it is so heavy. There is no dirt underneath (I'm a clean freak). If you don't mind having to move it back in place, then you will like it.

I bought this mat for the kitchen and love it when I'm chopping and doing dishes. One issue I have is that it takes a little getting used to because its a bit higher than the floor. So when you are moving around fast in the kitchen, sometimes it gets caught under my feet. But I got used to it!

The mats are stylish and provide a great cushion. Unfortunately, they “wander” with use from where you placed them. We purchased the sticky pads from the website. They were surprisingly expensive, shipping was outrageous, and they were worthless. They stick great to our tile floor but not to the mat itself. Now we have wandering mats that expose the sticky pads. GelPro needs a solution to this problem if they want top of the line customer satisfaction from top of the line mats

I purchased this mat for my son and daughter-in-law as a gift in December. They have a busy household and cook in their kitchen every day. Recently, while at their home, I noticed that the mat is torn in multiple places. I asked what happened and was told the vacuum cleaner went over the mat. Whatever you do while cleaning, DO NOT allow your vacuum cleaner to touch your GelPro mat! I will recommend to other people but with a big caution.

I received the mats for Christmas. I was delighted as The maps seem to give me more support while working in the kitchen. However the material which they are made of cause food to get in bedded into the cracks and crevices and impossible to keep clean. I am a caterer I found that these are not practical. I would have returned them but they are too heavy and bulky to mail back. I am not satisfied with this product and anybody who does lots of cooking would find these frustrating.

Product feel and comfort is as advertised. However, attention to detail is lacking. The design was printed crooked and it's driving me nuts. I kept thinking the mat was offset to the cabinets by upon further inspection, the design was printed crooked.

I returned this mat because it was a dark brown, not the orangish brown chestnut color shown online, which looked exactly like the color of the old GelPro we were replacing. Chestnut not included in the store samples I checked either. Had to return this one and buy a different style GelPro in a color that would work for us. Love the new one, but still confused by the discrepancy in color of the advertised “chestnut.” I definitely do not recommend the “chestnut” color. Though I highly recommend the GelPro product itself.

We bought three of all the same type of mats but different sizes and were very disappointed in the difference in the colors of each mat! They are more blue than gray next to our gray cabinets. Also as you can see with attached pictures each mat has a different color depth, not the same colors!
