General Electric 4.8 cu ft High-Efficiency Front Load Washing Machine with UltraFresh Vent System

I am truly happy for my GE washer. I picked well. It holds lots and lots and uses great deal less power and water than the one it replaced (It was an older model GE that had a great run). I have used less laundering products and the cycles are fast & and efficient. Laundry day no longer takes a whole day it is now Laundry hours.

I have owed this washer for about 4 hrs. It was a great machine & did a great job the first 3 yes. Then last year it started getting a Water Supply Error that would come & go. Now the mother board has gone out causing the door to lock & unlock so you can't ven do a load of laundry period! Then we found out it will cost as much as we paid for the washer to fix it. Also advised NOT to fix it because if we do it will just cause other components to fail. And we will just have to keep repairing it!!! It's JUNK & I would not recommend this product to anyone!!!! GE you should be ashamed of your self. X-GE lover, but never again!!! BUYER BEWARE☠️

Wildly disappointed in the quality of this washer. Bought in May of 2023 and it receives light use (1-2 washes a week). March of 2026 and the control system is shot. A known problem that isn't covered under warranty and uneducated owners like myself have to foot the bill for. My appliance tech said his wages could be paid off this unit alone. I will never buy another GE product again.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK And look at the reviews. Most are written with a month of buying the machine. Look at the older reviews. That tells the story. We've had our washing machine since April of 2024. Today it wouldn't start. Ran through diagnostics and these are the error codes! 92,89,27, 19, 38, 26,08, 39. WOW . No power surges, very light use, as there are only two of us. You must clean the machine often due to odor. I don't see how the Ultrafresh vent system can be effective, when it only runs for a minute or so. After talking to an online service person we were advised to get a different washing machine. The error codes could mean any or all of the boards are bad. Seems to be a theme. Look at other recent reviews.

This washer has required service 4 times in the 2 years we have had it . With 2 in the family and minimal usage it has been the most costly and undependable washer I have ever owned.

Door lock broke after 18 months! It's only a one year warranty. I feel scammed. Replaced the door lock and it didn't fix the issue. Now I'm reading about needing to replace the inverter panl and mother board. Looks like I need to ditch GE and get a Speed Queen. Reliability is more important that wifi connectivity.

We purchased this Front Load washer 18 months ago. We like the way it washes clothes and uses less water, but we have had to replace the electronics board once and now the spin will not work which typically means drain motor needs replaced or the new board is going again. Our last GE front load lasted 12 years. We either received a lemon or they do not make them like they use too.

Bought this in 2024. Worked fine for about 2 years, then the door suddenly stopped unlocking, and it wouldn't drain. Just sat there clicking. I cleaned the drain, still no change. Repair guys came out and said it was the main control board, inverter, and door lock all failing. Repairs would be the same cost as the original unit price. I contacted GE to see if they would perform the repairs since it was so new, no dice. So after 2 years we were forced to replace it. I will never buy a GE machine again. Extremely disappointed.

Barely 5 years old and the washer has multiple component failures requiring a whole new unit, and GE takes zero responsibly for selling absolute garbage. Goodbye, GE!
