The only issue with installation was it's 80 lbs. WOW. Once in place it WAS easy. I was waiting 30 days to write my review. I wanted to see how much it was costing to run it 24/7 for a full bill cycle. MY bill went up only $22 using this unit. Get 1 before they are out of stock.
We've had this air conditioner a few months now and its working well. It wasn't as easy to install as I thought it would be, but that was probably me, not the product. I would recommend this air conditioner.
This window unit is amazing. It is super quiet and quickly cooled the room. Installation was a breeze (for my son and his friend) and -best yet- the design of the unit means you can still look out of and actually open your window. Don't feel the need to go over capacity, we bought ours for a small upstairs room , used the manufacturers guidelines for size, and it is fantastic. Bonus was the superb energy rating. I just can't say enough about this unit. We have central air but a historic home so airflow is always a problem. GE has helped me solve this one.
As my first window unit, I am happy I decided on this particular model and brand. Not only was the video for installation very straightforward, but having the ability to operate the unit through the app and on a scheduled timer makes the system that much cooler (figuratively and literally). Also, little to no noise from the unit so I can sleep easy with it on all night. Lastly, the added perk of viewing how much energy was used for each night is also a major plus.
Just got this unit and it was super easy to install. I had a helper nearby, but was able to do it all by myself. I'm using it to cool a small sunroom office. Has more than enough cooling capacity and is quiet enough for zoom calls, etc. seems very efficient and I expect to run it on low 90% of the time so the energy usage should be low.
I have bought 3 different so called "quiet" air conditioner and this is the only one that is actually quiet. I work from home and on calks with clients they can hear the other air conditioner so I would have to turn it on and offso my clients can hear me. Now I am cool and my clients aren't struggling to hear me.
I absolutely love this air conditioner. I like to sleep in the cold and this definitely keeps it chilly. The design is amazing. My husband is a shift worker and when he has to sleep during the day, the old air conditioner would let light through. Your air conditioner does not which makes for. Great blackout sleep for him.
The low profile is excellent. It allows me to open and close the window around the AC, and allows more light to come through during the day. Right out of the box it comes with just about all you need to set up in your window including some weather stripping material. My only thing is, I haven't owned it long enough to see how it's going to work during the heat of summer.
This is an exceptionally quiet, effective air conditioner. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars is that draining it is more complicated than it seems like it should be. There are two drains, which was not obvious from the instructions. The instructions make it sound like all you have to do for the inside drain is to pull the plug, but in fact you also need to tilt it, which you can't really do when it is in the window. Still, it's a very good air conditioner. Just drain it thoroughly at the end of the season.
my husband and I both tried to install this AC together both of us ended up with cuts in our hands and blood on the unit it ripped the outside windowsill off of our house the unit was too heavy to brace against our siding and punched in part of our siding and then when it shifted it gouged out an entire part of our wall this may sound great but unless you have a porch on the other side of your window don't bother getting this it's entirely too hard to install on the second floor. during trying to get it out of our window to return it my husband also fell and injured himself and destroyed our ladder
