Not noisy, cools quickly

Amazing! Love the unit.

This unit replaced a 10 year old Frigidaire. The GE Inverter feature is much quieter, operates on a variable speed without shutting off and on, and most importantly for Florida living, it has a dehydrate function. The amount of water it is pulling out of the air is amazing. Fantastic product.

What a great Air Conditioner! The inverter technology makes it quiet and it doesn't kick on with a loud "ker-chunk". It cools 3 rooms in my house really well! The installation was a breeze! We haven't had it long enough to see actual lower costs, but it runs less.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am impressed by the overall cooling speed, and also that it does well at removing humidity. The room isn't just cooler, the air fells nice. It's louder than I expected, but the performance has outweighed that factor. It delivers almost-central air conditions at a much more comfortable price. Another plus is that it's lighter than some models, which has aided in our being able to manage self-install and should be simple to store for the winter.

Cooked our entire living room and kitchen area and quiet. Installation was easy in our window and the remote provided convenience. Great purchase!!

2 days in... so far so good... cools very well when indoor temp at 86f... it cooled 400sq feet room to 76f in 4 hours... so not quick but cool air coming out was constant -air temp coming from a/c was same cold at hour 4 as hour 1. W will be turning it on sooner when temp is at 82f or above. Note we live in 700ft mobile home in arid (dry) climate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't think this unit was undersized for the room, but perhaps maybe that's why I think the cooling feature is just average. installation was somewhat of a struggle, but my husband eventually got it installed properly and he's very handy so I don't think the struggle was on his end. Noise level is great, especially compared to the previous portable air conditioner that we had. Might install it in a smaller room next season and see if the cooling feature is better

It cools well down to 73 deg's - below that setting it runs continuously even with ECO on. Only if the outside temp is below 70 degrees will it pull down to 72 deg's. Don't purchase if your area outside temperature is hot and you want the room below 73 deg's...

This unit is SO LOUD. Specs say "low/cool" setting is 45dBA. My in home decibel meter has that setting at 71!!! We are looking to replace it, the sound is simply untenable. Very upset with the misinformation.
