It is quiet

Dukeboy April 3, 2026

It’s fine all around, my only problem is that the drain hose is cheap. The extension hose included kinked the end creating a leak. I went to my local hardware store and bought a longer one piece drain hose.

Quiet!

LaurieOne October 12, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how quiet it is, and it gets the dishes sparkling clean. It also seems roomier than my previous one. I didn't give it five stars because I don't like how the door "falls down" when opened unless you support it while lowering. Also, the rinse aid storage either doesn't hold much, or is hard to see how to tell when it is full.

Dishwasher great; racks not so much

BrewPack1 September 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are few spindles on the rack causing plates and bowls to flop forward instead of being upright. The spindles are too far apart. Top rack needs to be used for bowls, leaving less room for glasses and cups

Quality just isn't the same....

First Impression February 4, 2026

Definitely not as well made as our previous GE model (gdt695smjoes) - I compared the two models before purchasing and they seemed very similar but this was incorrect. This model is much louder while washing and everything just seems cheaper- it has a plastic kick plate instead of metal that the previous dishwasher had and it's missing all the added insulation that model (gdt695smjoes) had around the kick plate, under the door opening and around the stainless steel tub, it arrived with a single strip of insulation- not attached and very thin, unlike the three sided attached insulation blanket included with model (gdt695smjoes) . I cannot speak on the cleaning yet this is just my first impression during the test run. However, the slate coating seems less durable, there is a small gouge in the pigment near the control panel which went unnoticed until I wiped the door front after installation. I would also like to mention that in order to properly install this model, all the plumbing needs to run from the back half of the dishwasher. If your water inlet or discharge line is directly behind the kick plate anywhere towards the front- the front legs and frame will prevent this model from fully sliding under the counter top - preventing the seamless look GE is known for, unless you reroute your plumbing. I really love GE appliances in slate but this purchase has left me a little bummed. I will update my review if my opinion changes after consistent use.

Quiet wash

Ledge14 December 27, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ge makes very good products . I had my old dishwasher for 20 years Loved it . New one takes some getting used to. The racks are completely different. The way you have to load it is very different. Takes twice as long to wash as my old one .

Mostly good

Trin19 November 21, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher cleans mostly ok, its quiet and has good capacity overall. The top rack sticks and doesn't effortlessly roll in or out. The materials seem a little on the cheaper side. Control panel is nice and easy to use. Overall for the price it cleans well and operates as expected.

Jury is out

Gladams November 9, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jury is out. We had this brand new dishwasher installed less than 2 months ago and have had service on it twice. First time was making thumping noise. The lower rack was hitting the heating element. Melted it and then the water started squirting out. The 2nd time was because the door shifted and was hitting my wood cabinet. The repairman had to put shims in it to keep it level. We are hoping this is it now. Otherwise it’s very quiet. Cleans well.

water droplets remain

Stella12458 November 9, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dishwasher leaves water droplets covering about 75% of the interior walls despite choosing the extra dry boost. I have ran the dishwasher 2 times. and it has already caused my brand-new knife set to get rust. Not satisfied.

Faulty, melting jet arm and bad design

trish2point0 November 16, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottom jet arm has no metal heat protector and has melted twice and leaks under the front of the door. I only got the dishwasher in may. The top slide out shelf is useless. Nothing fits in it and if you keep it in, you can't fit standard water bottles in the top rack. Or you can lower the top rack then plates won't fit under the jet in the bottom rack.

Terrible build quality and bad design. AVOID

MaineDave December 6, 2025

This is a terrible dishwasher! Both the design and build quality are unacceptable. Related to the design: it does not have proper filtration and/or the spray holes are too small meaning they get clogged constantly. Even food smaller than a grain of rice will clog them, and there is no way to disassemble the spray arms, so this results in a service call. Even tiny bits of minced garlic, or things as small as the”grain” in grainy mustard has clogged it. In terms of build quality, we have had multiple service calls. They have tried unsuccessful to get it to stop leaking, including both water dripping out of the bottom and also steam coming out the top. Early on we also had a sensor that stopped working. We haven’t even owned it a year and have 4 service calls, which is incredibly disruptive given those are all “sometime between noon and 5”. We live in Maine, so this is covered under our state’s implied warranty, but yikes! This is the first negative review of something I have ever written, but people need to be warned about this headache of a dishwasher.
