Great

mardain May 17, 2021

I don't like using chemicals on my lawn. Bad for me, the earth, and the bees. I like to leave some dandelions for the bes and the soil, but this year, we had every itch of the yard covered. I poured this on those near the entrances, so we won't disturb the bees as we exit and enter our home. It took effect quickly and they died. I feel guilty, but it's sometimes necessary. Rest in peace dandelions. Also, used some on my indoor garden. Helps keep the pH right there as well. Just careful not kill them like the poor dandelions.

General Hydroponics pH Down Liquid, 1-Gallon

LissetteLissie May 12, 2021

This works well. We have pretty basic water, so i need to drop the PH for the average plant i might be growing. I need 5.5 to 6, and my water is around 7 or 8 usually. Get a PH meter. Once you get familiar with the amounts and how much nutrient solution you are working with, you can easily just spill a bit in, and you know where you pH is going to fall to. Until you get comfortable, you should use a cheap measuring spoon. ****AND GLOVES. This stuff is acidic (at least the pH down is) and if you get it on your hands its a few steps down from battery acid, so be aware. Also, you REALLY dont want it in your eyes. Be careful of splash back when using it! Glasses might be appropriate if you are new to the process.

If you have well water you need this

Law71 April 17, 2021

This works well with my well water it is usually a high PH and thanks to this I can maintain my indoor garden that I start and this works amazing at keeping the PH in the normal range. I will be using it outside in my bigger garden as well. I have tested it with my water and multiple friends water and it works well with all types from filtered, to well to city water.

Works just as described- must have for plants!

Lisa May 16, 2021

Please read the directions first! A little goes a long way. You will also need to get a spoil tester/testing kit to determine if you need to adjust your ph levels up of down. With that being said, we started all our seedlings indoors, so this was super helpful to help get us on track so we didn't kill our plants. You need to have proper ph levels or you won't be successful. This past weekend we actually moved plants outside and the soil is a bit high for the tomato plants so I'm current in the process of using the ph down to get them adjusted to their new “outside” home. Seriously this is a great product and I wouldn't grown a successful garden without it.

Great Product! Does the Job!

fetchedbygrace May 9, 2021

Excellent product that does just what you need it to do. The ph down does its job and it takes VERY LITTLE to change the ph in your water/nutrient reservoir. I highly recommend adjusting your solution before adding to the reservoir until you really get a feel for the amounts needed. If you are adding to the reservoir directly make sure you turn off your pump first, you need to stir it really well before turning pump back on.

Great for indoor setups

Menzo April 23, 2021

My brother has been using this product for many years. He has a setup indoors with grow lights and this is the brand of nutrients he uses. The important part when using these is to have a good ph tester. It is very important for plants to ensure you stay within the range they need or you lose them quick. It takes time and detail to get the right mix but once you do the plants grow much faster and better than using a typical garden or outdoor setting. Make sure to change out your nutrient mixture every couple weeks to ensure they are getting the right mix.

Works

Ladyhalse October 4, 2021

This product works as directed. We used it in our pool a few times to keep the chemicals in check. Normally we would go to the pool store and end up spending much more on the same type of product. Very pleased with the results and will be purchasing more of this brand in the future!

Awesome

aagner May 3, 2021

Awesome kit, did exactly what it should've. Also PLEASE read the instructions people, you only need to use a few drops of test solution per test don't waste your testing solution putting 10 drops in the test tube like you see in all these misinformed videos. The same goes with your pH up & down, only adjust in small marginal amounts so you don't end up adding to much base or acid and cause nutrient lock outs!

A little goes a long way....

JCINHB June 4, 2021

General Hydroponics pH Down Liquid, 1 Gallon This works great to lower PH of standard tap water/nutrient, when you need to drop the PH some, this does the job. For most plants, you generally need 5.5 to 6.5 PH, and my water is higher, 7 or 8. You want to have a PH meter of course to measure your PH and to see if you need to add this. Add a TINY amount to your water/nutrient then test, add to the desired level. Remember, this is ACID so, use a measuring spoon that you won't use on food and you might even want to wear gloves and don't get it in your eyes either! Great product, a little goes a long way and should last a long time….of course depending on the size of your garden.

Pretty Blooms

jnbpdt April 18, 2021

This is an excellent fertilizer for so many types of plants. I used it on my blooming Azalea bushes. They are fairly new plants and I wanted to boost them up a little. I made a mixture according to the directions on the bottle and it worked great. I have tons of blooms still on my bushes. I am very happy with the way they are looking and growing. The instructions for use are easy to follow and the fertilizer is easy to use. It did not have a harsh chemical smell at all and I really liked that. I would have no problem recommending this product to a friend.
