Works

Ladyhalse October 4, 2021

This product works as directed. We used it in our pool a few times to keep the chemicals in check. Normally we would go to the pool store and end up spending much more on the same type of product. Very pleased with the results and will be purchasing more of this brand in the future!

Great for indoor setups

Menzo April 23, 2021

My brother has been using this product for many years. He has a setup indoors with grow lights and this is the brand of nutrients he uses. The important part when using these is to have a good ph tester. It is very important for plants to ensure you stay within the range they need or you lose them quick. It takes time and detail to get the right mix but once you do the plants grow much faster and better than using a typical garden or outdoor setting. Make sure to change out your nutrient mixture every couple weeks to ensure they are getting the right mix.

Definite Game Changer!

PermanentNickname May 8, 2021

We're total newbies in the hydroponics game and have begun our adventure with the easiest (or so we're told): lettuce. We have a few varieties, but noticed the best result with the two shown. We were having trouble with fluctuations in pH, so this product had us really hopeful. After 12-13 days, both rows of lettuce had spawned new growth, richer and thicker leaves and, over all, looked much happier. We were very conservative with the product, like it says, and believe that slow n' steady is definitely the way to go! Over all, extremely pleased with the product and brand and will definitely be trying more of their formulas!

Great Product! Does the Job!

fetchedbygrace May 9, 2021

Excellent product that does just what you need it to do. The ph down does its job and it takes VERY LITTLE to change the ph in your water/nutrient reservoir. I highly recommend adjusting your solution before adding to the reservoir until you really get a feel for the amounts needed. If you are adding to the reservoir directly make sure you turn off your pump first, you need to stir it really well before turning pump back on.

Great

I don't like using chemicals on my lawn. Bad for me, the earth, and the bees. I like to leave some dandelions for the bes and the soil, but this year, we had every itch of the yard covered. I poured this on those near the entrances, so we won't disturb the bees as we exit and enter our home. It took effect quickly and they died. I feel guilty, but it's sometimes necessary. Rest in peace dandelions. Also, used some on my indoor garden. Helps keep the pH right there as well. Just careful not kill them like the poor dandelions.

Great way to help your plants to get nutrients

Elyron June 5, 2021

I use this solution to help my plants grow, the pH of your nutrients should be slightly acidic. The recommended pH level for most plants is 5.5 to 6.5. Most tap water is in the 7.0 to 8.0 range. Hydroponic nutrients are typically acidic and, when mixed in tap water, usually drop the solution into the proper range. Test your results and add more, if needed.

Works just as described- must have for plants!

Lisa May 16, 2021

Please read the directions first! A little goes a long way. You will also need to get a spoil tester/testing kit to determine if you need to adjust your ph levels up of down. With that being said, we started all our seedlings indoors, so this was super helpful to help get us on track so we didn't kill our plants. You need to have proper ph levels or you won't be successful. This past weekend we actually moved plants outside and the soil is a bit high for the tomato plants so I'm current in the process of using the ph down to get them adjusted to their new “outside” home. Seriously this is a great product and I wouldn't grown a successful garden without it.

A Very good product.

topfuel29 May 26, 2021

I was really happy to try the General Hydroponics pH Down Liquid, 1 Gallon. I've used this product for several years before and I can guarantee you'll be happy with the General Hydroponics pH Down Liquid, 1 Gallon All of the General Hydroponics products are very good and reasonably priced. General Hydroponics is a very trusted name in nutrients and supplements for plants. Plants like a Ph of 6.0 to 7.0 water from a faucet (well water) should have a Ph of 7.0 (neutral). Tap water (City water) has a Ph above 7.0 (neutral)The city adds a chemical to make the water more alkaline this helps stop corrosion of pipes. I would definitely recommend General Hydroponics to my friends and to you. They really make some great products.

Works so far

FabNFrugal April 17, 2021

Just received my bottle of Florabloom. I've been looking forward to using it on my newly propagated plants. I figured I would use it in a spray bottle and spray it over them when I plant them in the soil then I will also try to use it in the water in my watering can when I water then plants also. It says to use 1/4 tsp per gallon of water so I will use that ratio when watering my plants. That is all the directions call for on the bottle. Hope it goes well and helps my plants grow.

Completely disappointed

AmethystButterfly April 20, 2021

To start I received the product wrapped with a large gash across the top of the bottle, and who ever packed it knew it was there because they tied it up in a plastic bag to keep it from leaking all over the box. Obviously this is a problem with shipping and not necessarily the product. However the product it's self has no real direction for how to use it. Only a set of ratios on the side for dilutions. Over all I had to just pour most of it out as it had spilled out into the bag during shipping, also some had even leaked out of the bag and had begun to soak through the box. The whole experience was very frustrating.
