My granddaughter asked for pastel pencils. She was thrilled
Excellent quality of pencils. Perfect for my art class!
These pencils write easily on just about any type of papper, smooth, fluid marks, Love them!
These are the nicest raw wood pencils I've found. They are good for writing and for drawing. They always sharpen nicely too. My kids love using them for their special drawings.
These are US made, have a lovely cedar smell and are quality pencils. I read about these pencils on a site that described the best pencils and pens to use for archival work. On the site people reported that the erasers last forever.
Pencils have a nice feel and of course the great scent of cedar.
great pencils...smell good too
Great for writing. Great for sketching! An artist friend gave me a box and I am hooked!
I absolutely love them. Next to the Derwent drawing pencils, although I love all my colored and watercolor pencils, they are some of the most cherished of my supplies. I use them wet and other times dry. I use as a wash base and then use the pencils dry over. Sometimes I use them with other pencils. They work well with watercolor pencils, colored pencils, and can be used as a base that has been blended with water and work pastel over! I have used them on wood boxes and they work good. But if used dry only remember you must spray with a fixative to seal it. As I have the full line of rich colors and they are so bendable I have never done a project in which I felt they lacked a color to get the effect. Of course, they work well with Derwent drawing pencils too. As I live next to the coast I always have in my pencil roll while out, the greens, a few greys, indigo, and the aubergine. They are so buttery and such a joy drawing with.
Cedar wood is the superior wood for graphite pencils, as it has a good resistance to splitting in an electric sharpener. It used to be the standard, but now there's a whole generation that has missed out on this information and will take "any" pencil, thinking they're all the same. They're not: insist on cedar. There are other qualities to look for in a wooden pencil, but they're all but missing in today's manufacturing. The attention has shifted to mechanical pencils, but nothing beats the balance of a wooden pencil that will also fit easily between your ear and head or tangentially placed in a lady's coiffure. Try that with a mechanical...they don't work.
