Great unit at a great price
I burn a lot of firewood and this will definitely help. It took a little force to get the probes into the hedge but it worked. Everything else was easy, even the oak. The price was great and it came with a spare set of probes. Battery was included so I was able to test it out right away. I was set on a non contact, pinless type unit but when I saw the price on this, and a manufacturer I knew, I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did.

A very useful tool
The price is right, accurate, and it takes the guess work out of firewood selection. The cover is a bit cranky, but should loosen up with use.

Good, affordable moisture meter
I like this affordable moisture meter, so far. Seems to be durable construction and strong pins for sticking into the wood, for us woodturners. From what I'd predicted the moisture content would be, it seems to be accurate.

Good price for features
Easy to use, an extra set of metal testing pins and ability to be more sure of settings with the test setup in the back cover. Backlit LCD will be helpful in all light situations. Great price point for features with reasonable accuracy variation.

I'm a woodworker and process my own wood. Need a Moisture Meter to help determine when the wood is ready to "use". So far, one month, the unit seems to be accurate, works fairly fast and the price was very good. Well worth the money.

stopped working after 10-12 uses.
I've used this fewer than 12 times and only on firewood. The tips of the probes are now bent and the display does not put our a reading any more.
