Genie 1/2 HPC 3053-TV QuietLift Connect smart garage door opener, Wi-Fi, Works with Alexa

The Aladdin app lets me operate the door with my phone and it tells me when someone else opens or closes the door. The door opener runs smooth and quiet. I love it. Also has the remote keypad just in case.

Amazing how quiet our new door opener is! We also like the Aladdin Connect to be able to control with our phones.

When installing this door opener, I had recollections of past experiences putting together toys at Christmas time many years ago. However, this assembly had to top them all. Even though I am one of the few people who actually read the instructions all the what through prior to start, I somehow missed that the colored bags of parts went with the same color on the install instructions. Now after the dust has settled, it is rather obvious, but it never is spelled out. Anyway enough whining; I am very happy with the results. I did have difficulty setting up remotes, but after a few attempts, I got all of them programed. The "Aladdin Connect" proved to be the hardest, but once I found the blue button, it went well. If I had it to do over, I would hire a specialist to install. Maybe I'm showing my age. I have always been a DIYer!

This is the 3rd opener I have installed and by far the easiest and with well documented instructions that I had little problems following. The only issue was connecting to the WIFI due to lack of location instructions for the WIFI interface indicator/controls. Once WIFI controls were located the connection was straight forward. This is by far the smoothest, quietest opener I have seen.

Our old Genie screw drive door opener started making ominous sounds after 10 years of continuous use. This belt drive opener is so quiet at first we thought it wasn't working properly. Now, after a weeks worth of operation, it's still the quietest garage door opener I have heard....or NOT heard!

Openers were easy to install. Replaced two older liftmaster chain drive units. These are much smoother and quieter than the old ones. The only downside was that I later found them at Home Depot for a much cheaper price.

Fails to work. It worked when installed until the next day. Handyman was able to reset it and it worked until the next day. The one job it has is to go up and down. It can't even do that. He installed the same one for his Mother and it had the same problem. Help!!!

I have the product but I also got the add on service and so far, I have heard nothing on the add on service (no handyman contact me regarding installation). So it's still in the box, waiting for installation.

I can not use this purchase, My installer has put a door opener in. This has never been opened and need to return, Walmart wants me to contact the shipper third party. how do I do that.ASAP

I opted for the installation service (for a fee, of course). The opener came on Thursday. The installation person was to come Saturday at 5 PM. I got several texts and an email reminding me that the installer would be here at 5 PM. It's now 6 PM and no one has shown up. I finally got in touch with Angi. They apologized and said that some one else would come, but not for at least 2 days. Since I spent the day at home because I was assured someone would be coming to install the garage door opener, you can imagine how I feel about having to do that again in a few more days.
