Genie 39165r Series II Wall Console

This works better than the original controller that came with the unit. The bigger button is easier to find and the bright red light is helpful in the dark. Now I don't have to turn on the lights to find the opener button. It was quick and easy to install.

I replaced an older unit that the buttons were sticking. Easy to replace and works great.

It showed up quickly and was super easy to install. I put it right where the old one had been so no wires needed to be rerun. The 3 buttons are much better placed than the original. And the red led behind the big button is a great idea for my dark garage.

Easy Installation, Removed Old Unit and Replace with New Unit, Everything Works tested all button functions. Don't Know what else to write about since its been only a few weeks of use.

This wall console was easy to install and I like the backlight, so I don't have to fumble around for a light switch to find the garage door button (and then the light for the opener comes on, so I don't even need to turn on the overhead lights after I hit the button). It works very well; it's just what we needed.

It was easy to upgrade my garage door opener system from a simple push button to the multifunctional wall console. With the wall console I can now turn my garage door opener light on as an auxiliary garage workspace light. You can also turn the light out when you've closed the garage door and are leaving the garage. Finally,a big plus is the security of being able to lock the garage door opener so no remote switches can be used. I like the safeguard this provides for my family.

I believe the console was original to the home when it was built a 7 or 8 years ago. I matched up the part number and hoped after I ordered it that it would be the same. Because many times when you order a replacement part it is a little different and takes extra work to make it work. Not this time!!! Took it out of the box, it fit perfectly in the preexisting hole. It was installed in minutes and the garage door was working again.

Super easy to install. No reprogramming of anything required.

It is as what you would expect. Had issues with the delivery the first time and had to go back and forth with the seller multiple times to get them to do the right thing. They ended up shipping another one to resolve it.

I bought my door opener about 6 years ago, but since that time I have had to replace the Wall Console 4 times. Each time I have had to replace it because the door would not open or close when the button is pushed. The light off/on portion continues to work, but the up/down feature gradually stops working over a period of a few months. It becomes increasingly difficult to operate until finally it stops working altogether. The opener is located on an interior wall in the garage, does not get wet and is not exposed to extreme conditions. Seems that it is just a poor quality product.
