A quality product with availability to future service and parts if needed. Easy to install. Instructions were easy to understand. Assembly was straight forward. Includes remotes. Just what my garage needed.
Very quiet operation, easy install, good instructions! Well worth the money!
Nice unit with good instructions. Went up without any surprises and works perfectly
it is sooooo quiet.
Product worked and was as described. I was replacing an oddessy 1000 and this unit fit the track perfectly so I didn't have to put up a new chain or track, just replace the powerhead and good to go.
Very nice piece of equipment. It's very quiet and so far is working well (2 weeks). I would have given 5 stars except that I was not very happy with the instructions. They could have been a lot clearer and that would have made the installation much easier.
I'd have given this 5 stars if not for the assembly instructions. I had it all assembled and the last item in the instructions said not to activate the until until the 'limits' have been set. Nowhere in the instructions did it mention anything about this. I then went to the owner's manual and found how to do it. Everything was fine then. This should have been in the assembly manual.
I'm pretty mechanical and have all the tools and other essentials needed, so this was pretty straight forward. I have 8' doors, so I needed to order the extension kit...two actually. The first went pretty smooth, but learned a few things along the way that made the second one much easier. It still took a couple hours to put up. I don't have sheetrock in my detached garage, so this made it easier for bracing. I was able to do a nice job with 2x4's between the trusses. Overall the instructions are spot-on. Follow them explicitly and should be good. If you are not mechanically inclined, it might be best to get a garage door company to do the job...it night be frustrating for you and you need to make sure it is done properly for it to work and for your families safety. ;-) It is awkward to handle when getting it in-place. With two people, it should be easy enough...I had just me, so it was more tricky. The product works great and the remotes are made for two doors, so you can program a button for each side. Adjusting the door opening and closing limits works well. I would recommend practicing a few times in the middle of the door range so you get a feel for when you need to stop it. One might be able to break or bend things if your reactions are overly slow.
very difficult installation. the instructions are okay, they color code each bag of bolts, but ... messing with the chain, getting it in the sprocket was a pain. called Genie customer support and they were very helpful and quickly resolved my issue.
this opener came in a nondescript cardboard box, it waws obviously returned by someone. because of this the chain was not in position and it was all tangleed up. more importantly, the bullet wasin the wrong place. I did not return it because it was for my daughter who has two young children and needed a door opener as hers no longer functioned. I spent 3 days trying to get it to work , to no avail. I then hired a rofessional to finish it. I deserve a full refund since walmart thought so little of their customers as to send me a returned door opener. I still have the box if you want to investigate. Be aware that I have successfully put iin eight door openers over the last 30 years and never had a proble even when no opener existed beforehand. Are you going to show that this concerns you? Will I hear from you?
