Genuine Dickies Classics Retro Pinstripes Accordion Auto Sunshade, Red, 40807WDI

I have no doubt that this is by far the nicest automobile windshield shade I have ever used! I was completely blown away by the quality and attention to detail that Dickies made with this. I've used several different brands of windshield shades over the years but they've only really came into types. There's the accordion type that rolls into a circle and springs out to cover the windshield. This one has been convenient because it rolls into a small form factor that takes up less room. Unfortunately it's always been so thin that it let a lot of the heat come through the shade. Then there's this one that's a lot of little air bubbles with either some type of print design or reflective foil put on each of his sides. This one is always personally been my favorite. It does take up a bit more space than the previous one but it has also proven to be much more durable to wear and provided a superior insulation from heat and light passing through. Unfortunately the main problem I've always had with these is that after just a few weeks of sitting with the sun's heat through my windshield they become extremely flimsy and impossible to keep up in my windshield without any assistance from something else to hold it. However because this Dickies brand has a superior thickness to it, that even after 4 weeks of regular use in the Las Vegas sun, it's just as stiff as the first day I used it! I'm not sure just how much it helped but it does come with a nice little clip attached to help make sure that it doesn't ever accidentally unfold when it's not in use. I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted to get because Dickies makes these in so many intriguing and appealing designs. Personally I choose one that had a red design because I wanted it absorb as little heat from the sun's rays as possible. I also thought that over time this, just like anything that's been out in the sun for long periods of time, could possibly fade but even it did I believe this would still would still look really good. Over the years I've had to throw so many of windshield shades away... I wish Dickies had made these sooner.

I haven't had a chance to actually put this to use yet, as we haven't had any hot weather in quite a while. However, I did test this shade for size on three different cars. I can say it has a fairly universal fit and will work with almost any windshield. The material is thick and sturdy so there's no doubt this will keep the sun out. It's soft and slick material.

This window shade is thick!! It is silver on one side and a fancy black designed reverse side. It is thick but not heavy and easy to open, close, and store away, as it has a belt buckle on it to keep it shut. It is very wide. Covers the entire front windshield. Not flimsy at all. This is gift giving worthy.

The Dickies Accordion SunShade is a great sun shade for any car. The reflective side is very effective at reflecting sun rays that may cause heat damage to the dash, seats and interior of my car. Without it my car which has a dark dash and brown seats gets very hot and requires the need to cool the interior before getting into the car. The Dickies Sunshade is also very durable and does not tear easily as other sun shades and stays put when in a hot environment.

The quality of this product is beyond my expectations! It's leather and it is made of high quality materials. The color and the design is so amazing! It also matches my car color, i have the black and red. I really like it and I highly recommend it!

I really wanted to like this sunshade because the quality and workmanship was excellent. I liked the fact that it looked like quilted leather and the pinstriping was very pretty. It has an attached belt which snaps together when folded for storage. However, I could not get it to fit properly on my Nissan Rogue which was my preferred choice. It was too large, both in length and height, and the struggle to try to make it fit was too much for me. It did fit better on my Dodge Caravan without as much of a struggle. I took photos on the outside of both automobile windshields to try to show the size.

This is a nice heavy duty sunshade which DOES seem to cut down on the heat quite a bit. The main problem I have with it is Fit. Although I have a full-size RAM pickup, it is still a little large and doesn't fit under the mirror well, besides being a little too wide. It says one size fits all. I would change that to read "18-wheeler best" since it is sturdy and inflexible. So I would recommend under those circumstances. Appreciate the opportunity to te5t it. No photos as it is still cold and rainy here in Tx on Feb 25th. I tested on the one day we got to 81 after the snowmegeddon.

I live in Florida so a sun shade is pretty much a must have almost year round here if you want to save your dash from the extreme sun and heat we get most months of the year. So I tried this in my F150 and also in my 2019 Kia Soul. For it being a universal fit I have to say it comes pretty close. It was not a great fit but it definitely will work in both. I had to do some adjusting especially in the Soul but I got it to work and it absolutely made a difference in the heat in the car when I got in. If you're ever touched the metal part of a seatbelt that's been sitting in the direct sun for hours out in a Florida parking lot most of the day then you know anything that helps you not have to do that is money well spent. This did that and I definitely would recommend this if that's something you're trying to avoid. Not only that but the overall temperature in the car was MUCH cooler. That too is something anyone who has lived through a Florida summer knows is worth every penny. Like I said I did have to do some adjustments just because of the size and shapes of the two different windshields but I didn't find it to be too annoying and hard to do. I like that it is the accordion style instead of the twist to smaller size type because while I have had those I can never get them to fold appropriately and they end up taking up a lot of space in my backseat. These don't do that and you can fold them up and get them out of the way. That is a huge plus to me too. So I am glad to have this and it will absolutely get a lot of use come spring and summer. For those reasons alone I absolutely do recommend this.

this Dickies sun shade looks nice but it's a bit heavy and cumbersome. I like the style I got a red and black one but with it being a little thicker than most its a bit hard to put into your windshield area. I. like that it came with a clip to hold it together but it's tougher to use than if you had an elastic because it has no wiggle room it has to be folded exactly right to be able to clip together. I think I may stay with my old car shade but this isn't a bad option.

This is the first car sunshade I have ever had. I love the thickness of it. I love that there is a mirror cut out so I know which direction it will fit. I love that it's got a pattern that isn't just foil looking. I love how easily collapsible it is, taking only seconds to break it down and seconds to put it up. The ONLY thing I don't love is that it's hard to flatten it out from edge to edge because of the bends so you can fold it, however this is worth it to me because of the ease of storage. I think this is great and look forward to keeping some of the heat out of my black van and off my leather seats!
