Troubleshoot BEFORE surrender!
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109722/ These "retrofit" instructions provided by Samsung worked like a charm!! New "updated" filter finally installed with above troubleshooting instructions (link above). Husband now happy and I don't have to cancel my subscription to these filters.

Disappointed
I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2012, the filter that was match to my model no longer fits. I am very disappointment with my Samsung frig, the ice maker also doesn't work and this is my 2nd replacement. I will never purchase another Samsung again.

TERRIBLE
Samsung appliances suck! I bought a dishwasher that failed after two years. Now they change the filter profile on replacement cartridges for my expensive side by side and the H20 filter is no longer replaceable. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTER SAMSUNG!!!!!!!

filter doe not fit
i had same problem few years ago....filter would NOT fit.....their technician over the phone advised me to replace the housing to accommodate new filter design !!!

Filter cracked, flood in kitchen!
In May 2017, we had a filter crack and create a flood in the kitchen. Installed a new one and two months later, the exact same thing happened. What is going on?

Water tastes lousy!
I just installed a new filter and followed the directions. The tastes lousy! It's never done that before. Took out the new filter and the water tastes like regular old city water.

New design no longer fits
as a number of people have noted, these filters no longer fit. it seems samsung is unwilling to remedy the problem, so now we are stuck with a refrigerator that does not have a water filter.

Changed design doesn't fit.
they changed the design. it doesn't fit my fridge. old filter is on the left and new on the right. its the same part number! the website says it fits my rf26xaers.
