Replaced old “A” model that stopped working together. I bit of a pain to replace (search YouTube videos, trust me) but was able to swap it out in about 5 minutes. I highly recommend you run the forced defrost cycle a couple of times to warm up the freezer coil that you need to slight bend down to remove/replace the ice maker.

Samsung Ice Maker DA97-15217D replacement
low level skill set to replace this part, Phillips screw driver for 2 screws. video on u tube shows exactly how to replace the ice maker. If the last letter in the part is not a "D" you have an earlier revision. Mine was a "B" with no physical differences. The replacement part fit right in. This is all changed and it now makes plenty of ice. Might need a steamer to remove the old part from the Ice build up.

Are Samsung refrigerator quit making ice? And when I bought this and put it in within 45 minutes, it started making ice again. Now we've got all kinds, I would recommend this to anyone

This ice maker plugged directly into my Samsung refrigerator and works wonderfully. The shipping box arrived in rough shape, so I contacted the shipper. They were great to work with.

Delivered in time and does fit perfectly, Samsung is having an issues with the prior assembly. So hopefully this fixes my problem, thanks
