Aftermarket filters just not as good leaving an after taste that is not pleasant. Original brand fits easily and does the job flawlessly.

Bait and Not So Good Switch
I ordered a genuine Whirlpool filter and paid an OEM price for it. However I was sent a cheap knock off by a third party. That would be fine if that was what I wanted but it IS NOT what I was charged for. Don’t buy from this seller.

Check where items ship from
I suppose most shoppers know to check where the supplier is, I did not. This filter shipped from Indonesia and has been traveling the United States for weeks. The vendor says they can't do anything about it because it already shipped. Well, it didn't ship to me. Guess there's the reason it was half the price of the others. Learned a lesson on this order.

Defective.
Defective. The filter installed and flushed as expected, but then only lasted two days before it clogged up and halted water flow in the rerigerator. I hate wasting money.
