George Men's Branford Dress Oxfords (Wide Width Available)

I've owned these shoes for 25 months now. I wear them daily to work. They have been a great pair of shoes. I ended up buying a new pair of these back in July, 2025 (same size, etc.), but I have not worn them yet (so they're still new in the box) as the current ones were still in good shape. Now, though, my current ones are on their last leg - as you can see from the pics. I could probably squeeze another 1-2 months out of them if I were careful, but then I'd run the risk of my coworkers, etc. seeing me wear older shoes that were falling apart. So, as a final send off, I'm writing this review. I love these shoes - the colour, style, feel, look, and durability of these shoes. Three cheers to George Branford Cap Toe Oxfords!

I hesitated to select these shoes because I was always under the impression that the starting cost of *quality* dress shoes will be around $200...at the very least. However, after examining and trying out these George Men's Brandford Oxford, I've come to the realization that that's not really the case. Here's what stood out for me: 1. Construction: as far as the workmanship is concerned, I think things are generally pretty solid and I didn't see any flagrant errors with the stitching or how the soles were attached to the rest of the shoe. Good attention to detail and well made. 2. Aesthetics: Very stylish, fashionable, and has a nice modern look. 3. Value: Excellent price and an outstanding bargain. Bottom line: If you can get past the idea that these shoes are very inexpensive and just go by the apparent quality and aesthetics, then you can't go wrong. I was pleased with the shoes and they look much more expensive than they are. In fact, I cannot tell the difference between this shoe and the more expensive ones. I wear a size 8 in sneakers, and this 7.5W-13W was a perfect size fit. I'm not a shoe enthusiast, but I know what I like. I easily recommend these shoes.

I don't dress up in a suit often, but it has been happening more and more lately. A 15 year old pair of black Wingtip Shoes have just been replaced by these Black Cap Toe Oxford Dress Shoes. They are made of a soft Faux Leather, my daughter tells me that they are Vegan Leather, since they mimic genuine leather so closely. They have a soft padded interior which surprised me since they are as comfortable as shoes that I have owned and worn for a while. Here in Florida we are frequently subject to unexpected rain showers. These Oxfords have a textured rubber base and outsole which will not wick water into the shoes. A problem with my old leather shoes. In addition, the textured sole is fairly slip resistant when walking on wet pavement. While wearing them, I managed to scuff one of them and am happy to report that the smudge just wiped right off with a dampened cloth.

These George's Brantford Oxfords are equally comparable to my very expensive dress shoes from a top name brand. Craftsmanship is top notch. Leather is thick and comfortable. The inside heels have padding for comfort. I like that the laces are not wax coated because they always come undone. Very easy to shine with polish. After wearing for a full day they felt great, no sore feet. I definitely recommend this pair of dress shoes.

I really like these black dress shoes. The design is clean and simple and goes well with my suits. Sizing was spot on for me and didn’t run large or small. The quality punches above its weight class but it’s still an economical shoe. That being said I’m very happy with the quality. And maybe the most important thing to me is they’re very comfortable. I was surprised to see there is a nice heel cushion in the sole. I walk on my heels a little harder than most and had no issues wearing these all day and walking the whole day. I took a picture of the heel to showcase it better. Would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an affordable dress shoe.

These shoes are great to wear for casual occasions, but could also pass in a semi-formal occasion in a pinch. They are comfortable to wear, although they did feel a little bit on the large size, so keep that in mind if your feet tend to be an in-between size. Overall, these are a great "starter" set of shoes for people who are used to wearing sneakers 24-7 but don't need full on dress shoes.

I just loved them! They are a piece of gold for the price. They are really worth it. They fit really well to be a 9, usually 9 is too big for me, so I would say they run small.

I was very impressed with these shoes when I 1st got them they look like a pair of European shoes costing 2 to $300 dollars they are very well constructed but they do run a little bit narrow

These are very nice shoes you can wear these with a suit, dress casual or even simply casual. These are very nice shoes and very fine quality. You add a little bit of polish if you want and you get a beautiful shine. These shoes look very durable. I highly recommend them

I have to admit that Walmart isn't my first thought when I need to go shoe shopping. I have often passed by their shoe department without a second glance. However, I have been wrong in my quick judgement of the Walmart shoe brands. The George Branford Oxford is a nice looking shoe at a good price. The exterior of the shoe looks like a top quality shoe, with a stitched cap on the toe of the shoe, adding some style to an otherwise plain black dress shoe. The interior has a slightly padded foot pad, with additional padding in the heel area. The sole seems to be of solid construction with a gripping pattern to prevent sliding on slippery surfaces. The appearance is a classic dress shoe, and I was surprised to find that the shoe is faux leather, because it doesn't look fake or cheap at all. I don't know how long faux leather lasts, or how well it will hold up in wet weather, yet it's a nice looking shoe and will fit any dressy event or situation.
