George Mens Solar Digital Wristwatch Plastic Strap

For a men's watch, I really like these. It is one of the better budget watches you can buy. The display is large and easy to read. This is important for low light situations when pressing a button for the back-light is an issue. The PV cell has never failed to keep the battery charged even in low sun light. This is the third watch I have purchased and they consistently loose less than 3 seconds per day. I still have the first watch I bought and it is still running strong more than 4 years later. This brings me to the one thing that keeps this from being the best budget watch available. The band. Contrary to Walmart's claim, this band is Not integral to the watch. Each half of the band is secured by two Phillips head screws. The band should be replaceable and would be if Walmart was not so stubbornly foolish. (George is a brand owned by Walmart.) Walmart simply refuses to sell replacement bands. Apparently they are incapable of grasping the concept that if they sold replacement bands, their profits would increase. Oh well, you can't fix stupid.

Ugly and bulky- 5/8 inch thick. Won't fit under cuff of long sleeve shirt. Good functions but uncomfortable to wear

This watch looks comparable to similar products that sell for 3 or 4 times as much! It's an excellent value. It looks great, works perfectly and seems well made and should last for a long time.

i havent had it very long but can tell it seems like a good deal for the price. its light weight bright display and solar charged it always a plus. feels well built but band may go prematurely.

Bought as a gift for my 13 yr old grandson. He loves it and says it should last forever! He demonstrated all the functions to anybody who would watch.

My daughter went on her class trip to Moab, UT so no cell phones were not allowed for the 6 days so she took this watch. The temperature dropped to the 20s and the watch was reliable the whole week. The watch was too big for her little wrist so she connected it to the outside of her small hiking bag. She liked the watch.

I've owned the same watch for 7 years. The band recently broke so I needed a replacement. The watch that arrived had a dead battery. I requested a refund and it was easily returned. I went to the nearest store the next day and bought the same watch. I'm very pleased to have it.

I've bought several over the last decade, and ALL of them still work. The weakest spot is the band. I do construction work and the band eventually gets broken. A new band costs as much as the watch, so I buy another watch, but the watches themselves still work! That is really good value!

Love the large display and look forward to the addition of solar meaning no frequent battery changes. The plastic surround is raised vs the display so it has some protection against scratches. It reminds me of the digital watches of the late 80s - does the job at an affordable price. Seems adequately water resistant (showering, hand and dish washing). The fact that the hours:minutes section lights up blue while the seconds light up green amuses me.

It is an amazing watch and I will recommend it.
