Used to buy Redwings , they were in the shop getting fix more than on my feet . Always had a break in period with blisters .They cost more too. I work as a school bus tech.,on concrete all day. Then I found Georgia Giants , never had a blister , never had to repair , and still have a pair that are 4 years old , I wear them at home working around the house.
My wife loves these boots the best ever she can never find boots that feel good and fit her feet because she is rigid flat footed and she has two pairs of these the best
I've always been skeptical about ordering boots online, just one of those things I like to try on, I've done bridge and heavy hiway construction for 20+ years and have tried every boot under the sun. These boots are at the top, while I wish they were made USA, I just need comfort and durability. These boots are both, very pleased so far, wear them 15 hours a day. Customer service is also great, I messed up my order and forgot steel toes and they had it fixed in no time. Gained a new customer here.
These are great boots. I've had many pairs of the shorter Georgia Giants but this is my first pair of the taller ones. The only thing I would recommend is that Georgia replace the top eyelet with another J hook. Having the eyelet defeats the purpose of the J hooks. J hooks are for quickly lacing boots and if you have to lace through an eyelet that slows the process down.
These Georgia Giant steel toe boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, lightweight and well built, water resistant, I am a plumber I am on my feel all day, on the cement, and other hard floor places, working, walking from job to job in wet and dry conditions, I am almost 60 years old and this my 5th pair since I discovered them back in the early 90s I would highly recommend these boots
I have been impressed with these since the moment I first tried them on. I was worried that ordering online might be a hassle and that the fit could be off. Mine were true to size and I really appreciate that the toe box is roomy and the width correct. I don't have any pressure points or hot spots when lacing up or wearing them. I will say that the second hook grommets are much farther back than any boot I've had before and I find myself skipping them. Even so, they are secure and comfortable and the I haven't even really needed a break in period because the leather has been supple enough from the start. I have several weeks wearing them and I am impressed with how comfortable they are even at the end of a long day on my feet. I can't see buying anything else in a few years when I eventually wear these out.
These boots are fantastic. Took about 5 days to break them in comfortably, but about 2 weeks before I forgot I was really wearing steel toe boots. No hot spots fresh out of the box, and the look and smell of the leather is great. I'm a tin knocker and I'm comfortable in them on the concrete, dirt, asphalt, snow, ice, ladder, or gravel.
Really nice comfortable boots good for walking on concrete. I was amazed that there wasn't much time to break them in. I have paid much more for a pair of boots that wasn't half as comfortable as these are. I work a lot on concrete floors and most boots after a couple days my feet hurt. These were nice to walk in.
the good ;my order came thru quickly . the bad ; there was no covering over heavy stitching near the back of my heel . 2 hours after wearing them I had a blister . not too happy. had to go out and buy stick on protection for that area of the boot which to my surprise has no lining whatsoever .
Not sure what happened to comfort and quality but its gone with these . Have worn Georgia for 20 years and never any issue. Now they feel cheap and not that comfortable. Had to add insoles on top of the other ones . The heels are very uncomfortable and the sides are separated already less than a month.
