Great for my senior cats

baremountain October 18, 2022

A tried and true product that I use for my senior cats at my animal sanctuary. They love the pudding-like consistency and it's a great alternative when they go off their normal food. The best part is that there are so few ingredients so I know it is safe for them.

My dogs love it

SunshineShopper August 31, 2021

This might be a review you don't expect. It started when one of my two dogs (Chihuahua and Toy Fox Terrier, both adopted) didn't want to eat after getting two teeth extracted after I adopted him. Thanks to Google I found a solution: Baby Food! Got the small Jars and he licked it from a small spoon. His sister also wanted some. We are living in southern Nevada and the last and this years summer got record high temperatures. Both don't care for their regular food during the day so I have to get creative. They are getting now twice/week a jar of Gerber 2nd Baby Food which they share. They love it!

Cat approved!

texmale September 27, 2020

The turkey has more "substance" than the chicken. This is for an ancient cat with kidney problems; it has excellent protein, doesn't hurt the kidneys, and can be used for 'treats' during the day or for the long, overnight period. It's also good for mixing medications in, such as cat laxative or ground-up pills.

Not just for babies - my kitty loves the Turkey.

Cindy May 4, 2021

My vet told me a great way to get my cat to take meds was to put it in Gerber Turkey (or chicken, ham, or beef) baby food. My Boudreaux, who is 17 prefers Turkey and likes it so much he wants a midnight snack of this and a 4 am snack before he resorts to his kitty food for breakfast. Its been good to put some meat on his bones and he gained back the 2 lbs he had lost. I guess its more than a medicine delivery. We are all happy.

Valuable protein source for sick pup

Reese November 29, 2025

My 10-year old dog has been extremely sick with pancreatitis and absolutely refusing to eat anything so the emergency hospital vet recommended Gerber's baby food in any of the meat flavors. I was skeptical but willing to try anything to bring her home from the hospital. It worked!! She's still eating very small amounts but it meant the feeding tube could come out. She definitely prefers the turkey over the chicken and beef. Who would've thought dogs could eat baby food? I tried it myself and it's mild, no harsh flavors, with only 3 ingredients. I went to my local grocery store and bought every jar!

My cat's favorite

Joey’s Keeper May 29, 2020

I adopted an elderly kitty who was accustomed to getting his Gerber Turkey every morning. I have tried other baby flavors, and various canned cat foods, but Gerber Turkey is the one he likes best.

Kitty likes it!

Richard February 5, 2022

My cat is recovering from a medical issue and had to feed her this baby food, I am glad she likes it because she would not eat her normal food, this kept her alive.
