Gerber Freescape Camp Saw

Great little saw! I like how it folds up into a compact stick and hides well into my gear box in the RV. It's very sharp. Looking forward to using it on the next camping trip. Gerber always keeps up on the latest gear. I will be back to buy another great product. Thanks! Not much else to say! Again, great saw.

Strong and sturdy. Very well thought out. All parts are well made and function well.

We had an issue deep in the backcountry (snowmobiling) and had to spend the night. We build a pit & a Siberian log fire and I was able to cut down 22 trees with this saw. That was 5 years ago, I've used it several times since, and it still works great. I could not be happier with this product….

I bought this product almost 7yrs ago and still till this day both the entire setup and blade is intact and really sharp. NOT sure why its only getting 1 star. It folds up perfectly and keeps the blade hidden as to not come in contact with your gear ripping it apart.

I was expecting more for the price.

this is a nice saw that worked well, until it just didn't. Why? That ONE part, the one that everyone is losing, that can't be replaced falls out. If this is your Achilles heal on a tool, providing the replacement part would be great. This is a simple design flaw that can be easily remedied. I don't WANT to send it in for a replacement, I want to FIX and continue using the saw I bought. I want right to repair for everything.

Rivet that holds handle on saw fell out after making 3 cuts on a boundary waters canoe trip, saw was not used prior to the trip. Luckily we had another saw with to cut firewood or it would have been a long trip . Warranty claim was just submitted hopefully Gerber will stand behind product.

Cool idea however, when I pulled it out of the package to assemble/fold everything together before I tested it on the trail and one of the rivets critical to function on the handle snapped and fell off immediately. Do not buy this.

The product broke before I even got to use it, I bought gerber because I was under the impression that it would be quality … I maybe folded and unfolded it 10 times and the bolts in the handle broke, leaving for my camping trip tomorrow won't have gerber for this trip and probably not ever again after this experience.
