I tend to buy things out of necessity. And my “go to” store is Walmart because whatever I needed, Walmart has it and at a reasonable price. To all those single adults out there, Walmart is our rescue
best "gadget" purchase I've made in a very long time. what a timesaver! sturdy and cuts thru poultry bone smoothly. highly recommend. my first use and will update if opinion changes, but for now, im really happy with these poultry shears!
If you're tired of struggling to cut up your chicken or turkey prior to cooking or even after it's cooked then these heavy duty chicken shears are for. Heavy duty does not mean the shears are heavy. It means they will cut you anything with ease. I felt like I was dissecting the chicken lol when I was cutting the wings, legs and right through the breast bone. If you have chicken wings, but don't like that little skinny part, you could pop it off like you're cutting through butter with these shears. The days of struggling cutting chicken or turkey is over. I actually bought another set. It is worth the price.
So useful in the kitchen. It makes spatchcocking a chicken so easy. I would however make the hand grips more ergonomic.
It was great for spatch -cocking Christmas Day turkey! It cut through the bones easily for removing the backbone!
These heavy-duty poultry shears have become an essential part of my kitchen toolkit. Whether I'm breaking down a whole chicken, trimming fat from meat, or snipping herbs and vegetables, these shears handle everything with ease. The build quality is immediately noticeable—solid, stainless steel construction that feels durable and balanced in your hand. What really stands out is the spring-loaded design. It reduces hand fatigue during longer prep sessions, making it so much easier to cut through tough poultry joints and bone without straining. The handles are comfortable and provide a secure grip, even when wet or greasy. I also appreciate the safety lock mechanism—it keeps the blades closed when stored, adding an extra layer of safety in a busy kitchen. These shears cut cleanly through chicken skin, bone, and cartilage, and they're just as effective with vegetables like celery, carrots, or even thick herbs. Cleanup is simple—just a quick rinse and wipe, or toss them in the dishwasher. If you regularly prepare meat or poultry at home, these kitchen scissors are a game changer. They're sharp, sturdy, and versatile—everything you'd want in professional-grade poultry shears without the high price tag. Highly recommended!
Very strong shears, with enough leverage to cut through all but the thickest poultry bones. My only concern would be with the relatively short tang fitted into the plastic handle. With a very strong force, the plastic will likely crack at the base where the handle is molded to the base of the shear blades. While it would take some doing, I would be confident that these shears would hold up for everyday use. Just be careful if using Godzilla-like strength to cut bone (or any other durable material where these shears could look useful).
Not much peppermint flavor. About 1 in 5 or more have any flavor.
used to spatchcock a chicken and worked great .. nice addition to my kitchen cutlery
These shears did exactly what I needed them to do. I was able to cut the backbone out of a turkey with ease
