The Marley Go To Mini asks great sound into a small and attractive unit. What I can't fathom is why it's designers have it set up to frequently interrupt the music with a vocal statement “charging”. Every other electronic device i rely on goes ahead with charging as needed, without such useless interruptions. I also do not like it's automatic shutting down even when plugged in. Again, this is accompanied by the voice stating “powering off.” These glitches would make me hesitate to recommend the unit in comparison to comparable players that are not programmed to make useless interruptions in the playback—which is what we want from a unit. Too bad.
My son has had his 'get together mini' for a number of years, probably 4 or more. This has always been a great performing product and he has been very pleased with it. Unfortunately it now no longer holds a charge and i am unable to find a battery for it. Sadly you do not sell or list replacement batteries on this web site. Is this because you want us to throw our used product in the garbage and buy a new product? If I can buy a battery this is a perfectly working unit, that sounds hardly eco friendly. if you know where I can get a replacement battery please let me know Thanks
There is a constant "hiss" or "static" in the background when it's on (Bluetooth or Aux) The voice prompts that BLAST through regardless of the volume is a flaw but they do not break the product for me. However, the "Hiss" in the background is very annoying when using the device at low volumes.
Bought it a few weeks ago. Awesome clarity, really impressive bass, maybe a bit hissy high end. but i was really impressed. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED that you can't disable the voice prompts. i have it plugged in and usually use the aux cable. Every 20 minutes or so it stops everything and tells me it's charging. Why? who cares? just play the stupid music. if i want to know that you're charging, I'LL LOOK AT THE CHARGE LIGHT.
Awesome sound and the speaker looks great but voice prompts are to me VERY loud. And as far as I know there is no way to turn them off which is a pretty dumb design in my opinion. I wouldn't buy the speaker if I knew about that issue. I had to stop using the speaker in a bedroom as it was waking me up when it was turning off. So defo buy it if you don't mind it shouting "powering off" or "powering on" at you at the level of 84 decibels (based on a mobile app reading so it might be inaccurate)
I bought this in 2018. And for the last 7 years it has been perfect. To this day, the battery life is phenomenal and it holds up in sound quality to any newer speaker I have. This thing looks sleek, and looks amazing no matter where you put it. I have never had a speaker last as long as this, and I've taken this to the beach, to different countries, on road trips, everywhere. It has never let me down and I still listen to it this day.
I like the sound this speaker has, it is good looking too. However, its Micro USB charging connector is fragile and becomes loose pretty fast, preventing the charging from completing and at some point, stopping to charge completely. This drastically reduces the lifespan of the speaker, it is really disappointing. A USB-C connector would be much more reliable.
I received this as a gift approx. 18 months ago. Now i cannot charge it. Custpomer support tells me they don't have a technical support service, nor do they offer repair ser ices or sell spare parts. The only thing they offer is a full replacement if i can provide a receipt. So much for their claim to be an environmentally sensitive company. How many of their products are going straight to landfill after only 2 years of use? I loved this speaker but will never buy another or recommend this company's products
a speaker with great sound and bass and a cool look but disappointing. After a month with that female voice SCREAMING : POWERING ON, POWERING OFF, PAIRED... etc you'll want to smash it against the wall and there's no way to disable it plus there is a huge difference between every single volume level.
There is a voice that will interrupt the music to tell you it is "charging"or "pairing"or "powered on" every 30 seconds. You can't even listen to a song without the music getting cut off. Whoever approved of this should be fired immediately. So disappointed in this Marley product I'm very unlikely of buying anything with the Marley branding.
