Dark enough with no bitter aftertaste
My favorite chocolate chips! They are fairly "dark", but I am unable to eat very much milk chocolate and these are dark enough in cookies and such that I have no issues. I also enjoy them plain and mixed with cashews in the afternoons. I don't find them bitter - but my teen does.

Delicious just doesn’t do these justice
My Mom is a chocolate junkie, no seriously, she had pneumonia and I packed these in her hospital bag as they were just as CRITICAL to have at her bedside as her home medications. When the craving hits only GHIRARDELLI will do, substitutions are unacceptable! As a cook and baker I’ve incorporated these into many recipes much to her delight. Truffles, bread, brownies, pies, you name it, they’re all substantially better with these chocolate chips. The fact that they’re dark chocolate also enables you to perpetuate the fantasy that anything made with them is automatically then super duper healthy! My triple chocolate black tie mousse pie, add GHIRADELLI dark chocolate chips, high in cacao a nutritional powerhouse and poof my dessert is now a decadent albeit healthy snack. Join me on the delusional dark side, it’s delicious over here.

Ghiradelli makes the best chocolate you can buy at Walmart. 60% is considered dark but is enjoyed by milk chocolate lovers too. This works well in chocolate chip cookies by balancing out the sweetness. I also use it to make hot chocolate in my vitamix with a 1:4 ratio with milk.

Cocoa filler, powdery now
sadly, there is a nationwide cocoa shortage right now with prices skyrocketing because of supply issues and I suspect these chips are being substituted with some sort of filler to help keep the price down because their color is much lighter and they have more of a powdery texture than they used to. Perhaps the issue will be fixed by next year

Package prone to damage
Chocolate chips are great for cookies but the packaging is not satisfactory. One of the packs was damaged during delivery and the chips spilled. Unfortunately, it is very inconvenient for me to get to a return location to return the item for refund. Walmart could have delivered these items in a zipper bag like they do for flour.

Would like a replacement bag of chocolate chips
The product was fine but was packaged with canned pineapple so in transit a bag of chocolate chips was torn open and chips scattered everywhere in the box

These are fine, but keep going up in price. Another $3 just in the past month! Won't be buying again.
