Ghirardelli Chocolate Premium Hot Cocoa Chocolate Mocha, 10.5 OZ

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do love mocha. I mixed this with a spoon of cream to soften it, since it's a stronger flavor than most cocoas. Or, if YOU want to tone it down, you could make with hot milk or put whipped cream on top. I use a cinnamon grinder (from the spice section) on top of the cream. A little pizzazz. I love trying different flavored whipped toppings with it. I feel it would be too strong for young drinkers. But if you drink espresso then this won't be strong! To me, the bag is on the small side but I usually buy the gallon-size cans of cocoa.)

Gharadelli Chocalate Hot Cocoa Mix is a recent discovery for me. And “ BOY is it ever a pleasure!” If you've had any of their chocolate products, you are going to love the hot cocoa flavor of this mix!! It is decadent, with deep chocolate flavor without being a dark chocolate. I mix a couple of heaping tablespoons of dry powder with 1/4 c. of hot tap water and stir thoroughly, then add this to my vanilla liquid protein shake mixture and now I have my own version of a milk chocolate protein shake. Begin with a small amount of ice in an insulated 40 oz. Cup. I add my usual Starbucks bottled Blonde Coffee, my Coffeemate French vanilla, liquid creamer, some half and half plus my Activia Vanilla Yogurt then my Core Power Vanilla protein shake liquid and add more ice. Stir thoroughly. Now you have my version/recipe for a nutritious, high protein, milk chocolate all day 40 oz. High-Protein, iced coffee shake. And even better, ALL these items are available at your Walmart store for pickup, delivery or order. If you drink protein drinks for strength, weight gain (like I do) muscle increase, or whatever your reason., especially if youre a choco-holic like me! I do highly recommend this hot cocoa because of the great taste in this mocha flavored hot cocoa. If you are looking for any better hot cocoa during winter days or cold days, then this is the better hot cocoa!

Love this mocha powder! It makes my coffee taste like it's from a coffee shop. The downside is that it's hard to find now and expensive for the number of servings.

Ghirardelli mocha hot cocoa mix is my favorite go-to on a cold day for a yummy pick me up! The taste is incomparable to any other hot cocoa mixes. Perfect!!

I add a scoop to peppermint tea to make a low calorie peppermint mocha. Yum!

This product is delicious and I have bought it year after year. However, this is so ridiculously priced this year. It will be the only time I purchase it. $14 for a bag of hot chocolate is outrageous!!

Walmart is one of my favorite shopping stores and they provide excellent service. Unfortunately the quality of the "new formula" for Ghirardelli Hot cocoa in the plastic containers vs. the "old cocoa formula/quality in the round canisters" has gone down hill. The formula used in the "new" plastic containers has milk solids as it can be mixed with water and the taste quality of the chocolate is not very good and not as strong. I wrote to the company and asked them bring back their original formula and their response was a meager apology that I was disappointed with the product, sent me coupons to purchase more chocolate, although I had indicated that I would not purchase their brand again. I am sorry I purchased 2 cases, as I plan to either discard the chocolate or offer it to someone that may enjoy it. I will purchase another brand that is not as good as the original "formula" Ghirardelli hot cocoa, but much better than their "NEW" formula cocoa. iop
