Entertaining live-action adaptation.
While it arguably can't even begin to compete with the original animated film, this is still a very entertaining movie. The visual effects are astounding, and it's entertaining all the way through. Despite preferring the organic feel/texture of movies shot on actual film -- with the film grain intact -- the A/V quality of this Blu-ray is still extremely high and it looks great for a digitally-captured movie.

Totally engaging. Good vs. evil. Evil corporation preying on the disadvantaged. Good triumphs. Gotta love it!

A quality production
Most ratings say, "not as good as the original anime." I never saw the anime and I was pleased by the story. The CGI didn't distract me.
