Gibraltar Mailboxes Patriot Medium, Plastic, Post-Mount Mailbox, Black, GMB505B01

I received the Gibraltar medium Mailbox from the Spark Reviewer program. I am completely happy with this mailbox. It is big enough to handle a lot of mail and packages! It is very well constructed and includes a larger red flag than most mailboxes. I can see it easily from our house across the street. It was very easy to put together with the Gibraltar black plastic post and looks very stylish and modern. I feel that this mailbox will last for many years due to the sturdy material it is constructed from. I recommend!

This mailbox is a bit larger than your average one. Makes it easy for the mailperson to fit small packages and large envelopes into it. The installation when paired with the matching post is quick and easy. Should last for many years, no rust or dents. Made of thick plastic and closes tightly. Looks classy!

This is the perfect replacement when your replacing in your mailbox! You definitely can't go wrong it's durable especially in our southern states where it's so hot! You Will be pleasantly surprised how durable and affordable this is to replace your existing mailbox! Overtime we need to change out replace our mailboxes and I would totally recommend this one

I received this mailbox and discovered it to be even better than expected. The black plastic finish is rich looking and the construction secure. The medium size is more than adequate for general mail delivery and small packages. My only complaint is that it does not include hardware for fastening it to the post. It looks much more expensive than it is and I am proud to place it in front of my home.

At first glance the box itself seems to be made out of some flimsy plastic but it feels pretty durable and thick. It is larger than our previous mailbox, allowing for more mail or packages to be place inside without cramming them in. It is both wider and longer length ways. Installation is better with a hand sledge, a drill and drill bit if you don't have them. The instructions say to leave the stake at least 13 inches above ground which is roughly half the length. So you can drive the stake pretty deep. The post then slides over the stake and rests on the ground according to the instructions. I decided to sink mine into the ground about an inch for added stability. Afterwards grab your drill because you are going to need it. After securing the post to the stake it's just a matter of more drilling to secure the mount to the post and then that's about it. Install the box and it's all pretty secure from there. Overall not bad and all and has grown on me. Apart from the install which can be annoying, but that's to be expected with a new mailbox.

After doing a research about getting a plastic or a metal mailbox I found that this Gibraltar Patriot Medium plastic post mount mailbox is the best choice. Is well made and will not trust like a metal would. Easy to install and looks awesome as well! I would recommend to everyone who wants a quality product.

My mailbox arrived quickly which was nice. But the box was obviously retaped closed, and was missing the red flag. I immediatedly informed Walmart and never received a response. Maybe writing this review will increase my chances of walmart getting back to me and compensating my purchase price.

The Gibraltar Patriot is a perfect size! It's strong, sturdy and looks very nice. Has a great capacity with the ability to hold a lot of mail and even small packages. It's very deep and tall enough to hold legal size envelopes without bending them in half. It fits and looks great with the post which was included.

I decided to get this mailbox to replace the original metal mailbox at my home. This mailbox is plastic, but it's sturdy and made from heavy-duty materials. The mailbox is attractive and adds curb appeal to your home. We did have one issue with installation. Cement is needed, so the mailbox remains in place. We weren't prepared for needing cement, so it delayed the installation. Overall, this mailbox is an upgrade and I'm happy with the quality.
