I think these are really beautiful mugs. I was trying to match a set that I already had, but these were smaller. Nice mugs anyway.

When filled to the brim these mugs just barely hold 12oz, maybe a little under. NOT 14oz as described in the title. Even on the shelves at Walmart, as sold under their house brand Better Homes and Gardens, they are listed as 12oz so don't know why the mistake appears here. Otherwise they are pretty good quality, very smooth to the touch and without any sharp mold lines. One thing to beware (as with all stoneware that I know of) the bottoms are not glazed around edges, leaving a rough rounded square that will certainly mar the finish of any table having a polished top. So make sure you have enough coasters or saucers on hand before serving. Salut!

I believed I bought a bigger mug.

These don't look fragile so people aren't extra gentle with them, but they break and chip so easily. More than half have broken in 4 months.
