Gibson Soho Lounge Square 16-Piece Dinnerware Set - Red

This set is both contemporary and beautiful. Walmart's price is absolutely the lowest anywhere (just see what Amazon vendors are charging!). You'll have to take care when washing these dishes because of their weight. I believe that I couldn't have purchased better dishes at a better price. This is an OUTSTANDING value.

I was a bit unsure as some reviews said the red was more like orange, but to me the color is perfect. They go great with my kitchen colors and decoration. They have a good strong weight to them, have not tried them in the microwave yet, but they do say microwave safe and I don't really think there will be a problem with that.

Came in a big package with bubble wrap to ensure no breaking. 5 little packages came inside the smaller box. Opened each one with delight as they were truly gorgeous! Makes a great gift (buying for a friend's wedding) as its affordable and a nice quality.

This dinnerware set establishes the ambiance for my kitchen. The dimensions of the dinnerware are exactly what was described and personally needed on kitchen table. The dinnerware is of fine quality and was delivered very promptly. Good job. Thank you.

They are Stoneware, very sturdy, microwaveable, and dishwasher safe. I prefer to hand-wash them as the dishwasher can dull the color over time. I bought 2 sets for my daughter and she is very pleased with the durability, color (Red/Black), and the style (Square). I paid $29.00 per set...best gift I ever gave.

I purchased this dinnerware for my boyfriend as a surprise. I must say they are very nice and EXACT color and match to the picture online! I am not finished yet, but I can't wait from him to arrive home from Afghanistan and see his new table setting.

While I am happy with the purchase, the color disappoints. From the picture it looks to be a true red. It is not. When looking for fabric to make place mats to match it turns out it is a color called "Oxblood". Really more of a Burgundy color. If you are looking for a better red, Gibson makes a set called Evening Blossom that is a bit more expensive and is carried at some Walmart stores. I found a platter online that will suffice for this, since there are no serving pieces available, but I really think I should have gotten that one. Oh, well. Live and learn!

I like this dinnerware set because it is thick and durable. I was expecting the color to be a shade lighter, more like a bright red but it's more of a burgundy color. It's a nice everyday set. I gave it 4 stars only because the color wasn't the bright red I wanted.

We bought these dishes in the most beautiful blue. After less than a month we have had several chips appear after using the dishwasher. We have never had this problem before. For the price it's good I your not embarrassed entertaining guests with chipped dishes.

My family and I bought these plates for two reasons: 1. They had a 32 piece set on sale for cheap. 2. We really loved the colors. That's where my praise ends. We have now ordered our 3rd set of plates. We had to have them shipped because none of the stores in our state seem to carry them. Each time we have ordered the plates, we have had to return them. At least one piece is busted, and several are scratched up (or completely missing paint/clear coat) each and every time they arrive at our home. This last time we got a special surprise...two of the bowls were stuck together because whoever packed them didn't bother to put the cardboard between them. They broke when I tried to pull them apart. These may be good plates, but my family will never know...we can't seem to get a whole set shipped without serious defects. I wouldn't suggest buying these plates online, if at all.
