A few years ago I was using Gillette Fusion5 razors, but then switched to Harry's for the lower cost. I have blonde hair so I sometimes wait a couple of days between shaves, and the Harry's blades (including the 6th trimmer blade) were quick to clog with stubble they just cut. I didn't remember having this problem with Fusion5, so I wanted to try them again, thinking that the blades are worth the price difference if they don't clog so easily. Just used my new Fusion5 razor this morning, and it was wonderfully clog-free, even though my beard was a few days old. The trimmer, which I use to thin my mustache, was clog-free and razor-burn-free. It's as good as I remember! The included photo shows the two razors side-by-side, and as you can see there is quite a bit of light shining between the Fusion5 blades. The individual blades of both are about the same size, placement, and angles, but upon closer examination the individual blades of the Fusion5 blades are substantially thinner (I'm speaking of the second thinnest dimension of the blades -- what you can see in the photo). Another reason I switched to Harry's, in the past, was the simple look of their handle. I personally think the standard Fusion5 handle looks unnecessarily busy or fussy, like a modern toothbrush or modern sneaker. When I saw this Fusion5 Signature Edition on Walmart's website I knew I needed to spend a few extra dollars to get this simple, elegent handle. It also has a nice heft and balance, which I must say Harry's has too. Tip: With both Gillette and Harry's I carefully pry off and toss the lubrication strip near the top of each razor. They seem to leave a bit of goo on the blades, after softening up in water, and the strips are not needed if you have good shaving creme or gel IMHO. I have found the goo-free clean blades last longer.
A great razor for a great price I couldn't pass up this clearance sale. I remember using one of these when I was young and it brings back memories, I almost bought two, but I didn't since I already have almost 30 different razors in my collection. Shaves good but sheesh those replacements cost a lot I think I will stick to my razorock safety razor for that reason but I'll find myself using this one for when I am in a rush and just need to do a quick shave.
Good buy good product good deal I bought it for my son for Christmas
Smooth and easy just the handle a little slippery
Nice gift set for my fifteen year old grandson who is just beginning to shave.
not a big fan. handle hard to hold..no grip and it doesn't get a close shave like I'm use to
This razor is quite nice. It is very sleek and modern looking. The issue is: it is so hard to hold when wet. It is very slippery. It doesn't have enough grip to it all. It spins and slides around in my hand the whole time.
There is no grip on the handle. It slips while trying to shave.
Made it look like this is in a Globe it's not
Don't recommend mine came damaged
