But recently I decided to switch things up and try the GilletteLabs razor with the exfoliating bar and honestly, I'm really glad I did. Right from the first shave, I could feel the difference. The exfoliating bar clears the skin before the blades glide over it, so the shave feels smoother and way more comfortable than I expected. No irritation just a clean and solid shave. The razor itself feels super cool and premium, has a nice weight to it. I didn't think I'd switch from electric, but now I'm already planning to stick with this. It's just a better experience overall.

I was on the fence about this product after reading some reviews. I am so glad that I got past this and placed my order. I got 38 shaves out of the first cartridge and I'm a fan. I've always been partial to Gillette, but now Gillette Labs is my shaver. From the handle to the blades I get the best shaves and NO NICKS! Outstanding product, I'm a big fan!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this razor for the first time, Gillette taught me the value added of buying a quality razor compared to a generic one. I used to always use the bag of value razors that tend to be cheaper and go “further” or so I taught. I could feel the difference from the first shave using Gillette's exfoliating bar razor, smoother, sharper, and not having to go back through the same spot more than once. Also, when it's time to replace it, it's more convenient to just switch the top part of the razor with a new head and less costly than the first time when you have to invest to buy the handle, which also comes with this razor stands that I have to admit makes a razor look cool and almost part of my bathroom decoration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor has a nice weight to it and is not only nice looking especially when sitting on the razor stand, it works works well and glides smoothly. The lubricating strip does what it's supposed to and I also didn't end up with any cuts which is a plus. However, when it comes to the precision trimmer it feels too hidden and feels almost as if it doesn't have one. The razor stand is not spot resistant so any water marks are visible. If you have anything on your counters like a water Flosser or anything with a cord, be careful as it can easily knock the razor off the stand. All in all, I'd say it's a good razor though.

I have been using the Gillette Lab blades since 01/2026. I am purchasing blade refills and price can wildly fluctuate from $5.00 to this purchase of 9 blades averaging $3.12 each from Walmart. Amazon is about same price. I find variation in %23 of days receive per blade from a low of 24 to high of 57. Ads indicate about 30 shaves per blade and I do find most were in 30-40 day range so seems correct.

I was impressed right away with the solid weight and premium feel, it's definitely nicer to hold than cheaper razors. The shave itself was smooth and comfortable, and the exfoliating bar helped reduce irritation. The only downside is the cost of the replacement cartridges, which are on the expensive side. That said, if you don't mind spending a little extra, this razor delivers a really good shave.
