Gillette Labs Razor Blade Refills, Compatible with Exfoliating Bar & Heated Razor, 4 Refills

my husband is an amazing black man with sensitive skin prone to skin bumps when shaving... he used to only use clippers to "shave" his head and face with because he always would bump up painfully with razors. however, once when he was out of town he was not able to get his desperately needed clipper blades and so he researched a razor that he might be able to use without disaster and stumbled upon these. he loves being able to get such a smooth close shave and not bump up!! thanks Gilette for making a product that my husband can get his slicked head and smooth face reliably every time!

The blades are more expensive than other Gillette blades but its the top of the range, so its to be expected. The razor is a good design but it does not shave close enough and leaves patches. Let me explain. The top and bottom pads are raised way higher than the blades themselves which in my opinion is the reason for the bad performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this razor for the first time, Gillette taught me the value added of buying a quality razor compared to a generic one. I used to always use the bag of value razors that tend to be cheaper and go “further” or so I taught. I could feel the difference from the first shave using Gillette's exfoliating bar razor, smoother, sharper, and not having to go back through the same spot more than once. Also, when it's time to replace it, it's more convenient to just switch the top part of the razor with a new head and less costly than the first time when you have to invest to buy the handle, which also comes with this razor stands that I have to admit makes a razor look cool and almost part of my bathroom decoration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Razors don't seem to be improved too much but I think this one did a great job with the movement and feel of how it wraps your face as you use it. It actually helps contour around you as you shave. Blade cuts clean and smooth. It has a nice weight to it. And the base is pretty nice too. I don't need to use the base since I hang my razor up in the shower but for someone that would have space to stand it up would like it. Overall I will continue to buy blade for this razor as I'm not super loyal to any a specific one and this seems to be better than what I was using. Would recommend if you need a new razor.

Preferred shaver as much easier to use. And not a ‘pro' as I always get razor burnt and cut even with this. Hence I gave 4*. Thanks for this complimentary product to test.

I was missing the stand, not a huge deal for me. The razors still gives a smooth shave and would recommend it for the cost and how well it shaves.

The GilletteLabs razor blade refills work fine, but are SO expensive they are displayed at the store in an Alpha security box. My razor blades were delivered in the security box! I didn't have time to go to the store to have the box opened. Used YouTube idea to break the thick plastic box open. Annoying!
