These are the best and sharpest knives i've ever owned. They slice through everything with minimal effort. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip and they clean up easily. Overall, great value for the money. I highly recommend.

When I am shopping for kitchen knives there are four things I care about: knife quality, aesthetic, and value. I would absolutely recommend this knife set because it hits the perfect combination of all three factors! For how high quality these knives are, this set is an incredible deal. Here is some info on why: 1. Quality - These knives are very high quality with sharp edges that make them perfect for any necessary slicing --- but honestly, that is what I would make the minimum criteria for any kitchen knife I buy. The reason that these knives stand out to me is the variety of items that come in one block! This one set gives you a knife for everything --- slicing vegetables, carving meet, etc. ---- AND it comes with its own sharpener that works great. I ESPECIALLY love the added benefit of scissors because I grew up using scissors in the kitchen all the time (they are the best way to cut pizza). Additionally, everything in the set is dishwasher safe -- which is a key feature to have if you ever use knives to cut raw meat, and need them to be extra clean afterwards. 2. Aesthetic - This simple and elegant wooden style of this knife block gives it a sophisticated aesthetic that would look great in any kitchen. This versatile look makes it the perfect gift for the holidays -- and I honestly am considering gifting a few to different family members. But an added bonus to the wooden block is that they keep the knives from getting scratches (to help them remain in great condition), AND it makes them easy to keep track of. This knife block makes kitchens look organized yet stylish. 3. The last thing I will say about this knife set is that it is an EXTREMELY great value. Honestly, just check other retailers or look at the pricing for buying all of these high-end knives on their own. This is a nice set of knives which includes four steak knives, scissors, a sharpener and a good mix of other utility knives. Made out of Japanese stainless steel, these knives will not rust and are incredibly sharp! The range of knives guarantees that you have something sharp to use for every occasion. I've owned knives that cost upwards of hundreds of dollars and I got to say that these knives are as sharp if not sharper then more expensive brands. Best thing is that it comes with a knife sharpener, which helps you maintain the sharpness of these knives. These knives are not dishwasher safe, but as is most nice things in our lives, if we spend the time taking care of it, it will last a lifetime.

The set of knives is truly life changing. Within the set, you have all the pieces necessary to get you through any meal. The stainless steel knife stays decently sharp and has an amazing grip feel to them. Would highly recommend to anybody that cooks. Set of knives was very attractive and quality was more than expected, I read a lot of the negative reviews and find I really don't agree with any of them. People seem to get what I call buyers remorse or they're expecting a $400.99 knife set at a fraction of the cost. Face reality at $108.00 for this set of knives that only $9.00 a piece for all 12 pieces. The knives are comfortable to to handle and are very sharp. The set looks good and is very attractive. I have found out when reading a negative review that a lot of them are there because the buyer didn't read the adds well enough, or are blaming slow delivery on the product and not the shipper. Not to mention a lot of other things that are being blamed on the product. If negative reviews start appearing more than positive reviews and they're all for the same thing, think twice about that product. Do more research.

The Ginsu Gourmet Chikara 12-Piece Knife Set is a must-have addition to any kitchen. Each piece is crafted with both durability and versatility in mind. As a seasoned home cook, I also appreciate the versatility of the 8 inch chef's knife. It sits comfortably in my hand and allows me to chop, slice, and skin with ease. Lots of knife sets leave out the honing steel, which I think was a nice addition to this Ginsu product. The honing steel is lightweight, easy to use, and keeps my knife edges reliably sharp. I love my Ginsu knives. This is my second set, my son cannot seem to understand that these are nice knives that should not be used as a tool for his metal shop projects. With this set, I decided to upgrade to a larger set and am so happy with the quality of these knives. The Chikara series is the premium series from Ginsu. They're so easy to use, so sharp, they make cooking easy. Ginsu thought of everything when they picked out the knives for this set. I use every piece including the kitchen shears. They're so useful, as a bottle opener, and can cut through meat like no other. My most widely used pieces are the Santoku knife, the serrated utility, and the paring knife. But like I said, I use all of them and love the steak knives too. Great quality set and cannot say enough good things about them. There's a reason why they've been rated the best buy option of knives by Consumer Reports for 5 years. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

This is a fantastic set of knives for someone looking to elevate their kitchen. It is a great experience to have a knife for every task. This is my first knife set that I've owned and I will never go back to having a random assortment of knives thrown in a drawer. These knives have weighted handles so you feel VERY in control, which is great because these knives are SHARP, so make every move count! These knives aren't dishwasher safe, but they're super easy and quick to clean, almost as though they're non-stick. The lifetime limited warranty is super comforting for those unsure about this purchase. However I will say that these knives have retained their sharpness and overall quality, so I don't foresee anyone really needing to use the warranty. I am writing this review as part of a contest
