This was easy to set up for me. I am 65 years old, 105 pounds, and this was pretty easy for me to use. I love the fact that you can use it as a individual saw also. Very much recommend
What a useful tool this is. My trees look so much better since I trimmed them. It's light weight and cuts great! I have done quite a lot of limb cutting and the battery is still going strong!
I fix things so the defects are no big deal to me. The power triggers failed within 5 as there is the blade assemblyyminutesbecause the wires oon the switch at the end of the poke saw was loose. When I tries to use just the chain saw that switch also failed. I have not taken that one apart yet because I wanted it as a pole saw. To fix the switch on the saw head is more complex as there is the blade and motor to deal with.
pretty good engineering however the pivot hinge for the blade guard is rather sub standard. It broke off on the first day of light usage. Instructions need Walmart quality control to read prior to distribution. Oil pump button not even mentioned in instructions Oil reservoir that low volume,,, doesn't hold much oil. Other than that, a good value for the buck and very handy to deal with the after math of the spring ice storm!
This chain saw set up works incredibly well, better than expected. It is compact, a perfect size for my wife, and simple to operate safely. However, when assembling the pole sections I found molding slag/flash within each section preventing proper electrical contact. I had to physically disassemble the pole section, (possibly voiding the warranty), i.e., connections, to remove the molding slag/flash to make a direct electrical contact as intended by the design. This is a result of lazy workmanship and poor quality control. If someone does not know how to fix this issue they will become frustrated and more than likely return the unit for lack of poper operation. This shoud have never been an issue at all. Therefore, I suggest the manufacture increase their quality control and address the poor workmanship at the time of assembly at the plant, so customers can enjoy the benefits of this otherwise well designed chain saw. BTW, my wife loves this chain saw, minus the pole assembly. P.S. Sorry no pics, I was too busy fixing the problem.
The products work's great. I received it with a physically broken charger, and now the company won't respond to my message. I either have to return the complete saw to Walmart or purchase a charger myself.
the saw seems nice enough, but the extension rods are way too hard to connect together. I could never get any extension rod to line up and fit.
This went together fairly easily. And the battery life was good. I cut down a couple of dozen limbs and the battery was down only about 20%. However, I accidentally knocked it against something and the neck of the extension piece broke. It wasn't that big of a smack so I would have thought it would have held together. So I would say this is not of very sturdy construction.
not only did it arrive 2 days late it arrived damage with the chain guard broken completely off then unfortunately I had to drive it back to Walmart so I could return it which cost me gas and my time. I would not recommend buying this item at all due to the way they package it. the reason the chain guard was broken from the looks of it was the way it was packaged and handled during delivery. unfortunately now I have to wait to get my money back from me returning it. this is so sad because I planned on doing some yard work next Monday and won't have it to do any of the yard work. unfortunately the item was damaged I ordered a new one not a damaged one but yet I got sent a damage item
another online purchase from walmart that was delivered with damaged to the box and product did not work or operate as advertised.needed this tool to cleanup after storm damage and was very disappointed at the misconception of online purchaing %26 receiving another useless poorly made product that had to be taken to the our local walmarts poorly manned customer service department waiting over 25 minutes in line and another 5 days to receive credit back, having to wait even longer to be able to buy another compared tool . i will not make any more purchases online for much needed equipment like this regardless of the savings .its just not worth the time effort or patience having to deal with walmarts crud customer services.
