Give Up The Ghost

What a great artist! She got me hooked with DREAMS and has stirred my interest to find out more about what else she has done. The songs on her album "Give Up the Ghost" are deep and lasting. I enjoy many of her tunes, but especially love LOOKING OUT and DYING DAY. This is an album that I will listen to over and over, although there are no songs that I dislike.

Give Up the Ghost is the first album I've listened to by Brandi Carlile, but it definitely won't be the last! I have listened to this album over and over again and each time I seem to find a new song I love! For now my two favorite songs on this album are “Dreams” and “Touching the Ground”. Her beautiful voice and the catchy music flow so smoothly throughout the entire album. I have been looking for a great album to listen to and I finally found it. Buy Give Up the Ghost, you won't be disappointed!!

Mellow, relaxing, upbeat, easy going and really good are the adjectives that best describe this album by Brandi Carlile. It's one of those albums that you can put on repeat in your CD player and not get bored. Give Up the Ghost has that live music feel to it. A definite must buy this holiday season!

I love this album, but sadly I do not own it. That's what is especially sad about this situation. All the people who were gifted this album and do not like it are creating such a sense of envy from me. I wish I could take it right out of their hands. I listen to songs over and over again on youtube. My favorites are "Before It Breaks" and "Dreams".

I love this music. I've not ever heard of Brandi Carlile before and I feel like I've been missing out. Her music reminds me Jewel. ( who I'm a huge fan of) . When I listen to her songs I feel like I've jumped into a scene of Grey's Anatomy, where something dramatic is going on or at the end of the episode. I'm loving it!!

I received a promotional copy of Brandi Carlile's new album, Give up the Ghost, and having never even heard of her before I had no idea what to expect. What a surprise to learn what I've been missing out all this time! Her vocals were so unique and compelling, the lyrics so heartfelt, and instrumentation so beautiful, it makes me anxious to purchase her previous albums. Give up the Ghost is worth your time and money! Give this girl a chance, she will steal your breath!

This is a great relaxing, upbeat cd. I love her voice. I would recomend this cd to anyone that just wants to sit back and relax and enjoy some good music

I have listened to all the songs on the new Brandi Carlile CD , Give Up The Ghost, and it was not what I expected. I have never heard her music before, but had in my mind it would be like Michelle Branch. I was pleasantly surprised. Her songs vary, it seems some lean towards folk, some towards country, and some a litte of both. It is the kind of music I would listen to when I want to have a nice quiet evening at home. maybe dinner alone with the husband, some wine, and just sit back and listen her this CD.

I'm loving her music! I was given Brandi's new album to review and after downloading it I can safely say she's going to be a HUGE star soon. I can't believe I haven't heard of her before. What I really love is that I can actually understand the words she's singing and that her songs have such meaning. I definitely a fan of hers now! I have to say I put all of this album on my MP3 the after the first time I listened to it.

This album is interesting to me. Sometimes artists keep similar music on one album and sometimes they mix it up a bit. This was very mixed up. There are some songs that are slower ballad-type, some that seem like rock, some that seem country, and some that seem almost like folk music. At first, I wasn't sure that I liked this, it almost seemed a bit too jumpy. However, this album has grown on me as I listen to it more and more. She has an amazing voice and is clearly very talented.
