Glad Activated Carbon Puppy Dog Training Pads with Chew Deterrent & Odor Control 23”x23” 50ct

So, I have poofies (only my family and social media peeps know how many) and ONE of them, Sergio Balboa, is our 14 year old thirty pounder. He big, ya'll. So, gettin in and out of that poop pan, bless his heart, is rough. So, finding efforts of elimination aren't in the pan but are in front or beside it. But, at least stuff is in close proximity. Ishared this with my Captain and his suggestion was to just make a walk in do your thing walk off type thing with puppy pads. Finding this a most excellent idea, I set out to find the right one. Said pad needed thickness (some of them out there are as thin as 1/2 ply toilet paper) or they're either missing coverage and you end up combining two to make a decent one pad. I tried these and found them to be poofie worthy. What I did was I got a nice LARGE sized box, cut away one side, put newspaper down for a little padding, layer 2 of these pads down on top of said newspaper and your uncle's name is 'Bob' (alt. translation: voila! or the classic "There you go!") Sergio walks in, tcb (takes care of business), make a decent effort to cover it up but just flipping a corner over it counts) and have room to turn around and wexit said area. These pads work so well, I found myself wishing I could just make all the poofies conform but poofies scratched and covered in the wild and that's a instinct I won't interfere with. And they have. some kind of yucky taste which discourages gnawing or chewing on it/them.. The absorbency kinda sucks. It leaks through almost every single time! Though my dogs who have pica tried to eat these and gave up. So that part works. The odor absorbency works sometimes. It gets the job done

My dogs didn't dare to tear these up. They used them for the restroom and that's it. I highly recommend them. I have 3 different breeds of dogs and it worked with all three. Even my Aussie.

I breed labs, and I keep all of my pups inside, inside of a whelping pen in my living room until 9 weeks when they leave. (Before anyone gets all up in arms- we obviously have them out of the pen on a reg basis and it's a giant 4 room pen that takes up most of my living room, just wanted to clarify) Anyways, I use these inside of plastic pee pad holders (obviously so they can't chew them up) and I refuse to use ANY other pee pads. They reduce the smell 10 fold and hold in way more than any other brand I've tried. Even other brands that use charcoal. So two paws up (sorry couldn't help it) for my house not smelling like puppy pee all day every day AND saving me a ton of money for not having to change them out EVERY-TIME a puppy pees on it. Life saver!!

I have used these for a long time for my dogs, I like that they are black and the pee on them doesn't look as glaringly awful as on their their white counterparts. However, someone changed the design and now the sides of the pad are folded up supposedly to catch the pee from going off the pad and it was a horrendous idea. The side of the pad is now folded up with the NON absorbent side up, so the pee just pools there and actually leaks off the sides now!!!! It NEVER did that before whoever was the genius that had to fix something that wasn't broken. Please for the love of god, go back to the way it was, so I can go back to buying these.

I bought these because my puppy was chewing my other pads. The bitter taste was supposed to alleviate that, but my dog wasn't bothered at all. I still had to buy a spray to get her to stop.

I liked the thickness of the Glad Activated Carbon puppy dog training pads with chew deterrent. The chew deterrent was not activated when my dog chew it to bits. After the third “chew up” I went back to my old brand. These pads were too expensive to keep on hand when they were not as advertised. And too, the color was just dark and ugly in my opinion.

So I have four dogs ranging in sizes from small medium to small and in my utility room I put down about eight puppy pads and interchange them as the day goes on when they're soiled. Well unfortunately these are really a pain because when I unfold them the two side flaps don't stay down and it's a nuisance to try to straighten them out because if you don't then if the dogs pee then all the people go under the puppy pads and that's just a big mess. Also I didn't realize that when the dogs peed on them you really cannot even see the P you have to put your hand down to feel to see if it's been used it's really strange. As far as a charcoal aspect of it I guess that was okay didn't notice an increase in smell. But I won't buy these again they're too much of a hassle to mess with that flap on both ends of the puppy pad. I hope this helps.

It was a waste of money. puppy is continually chewing and eating pad. this pad is supposed to deter dogs from chewing pad. i bought pads to keep puppy from being attracted to the cheq but its the total opposite.

if something sounds to good to be true it usually is. My puppy was using her potty pads but she was also shredding them everywhere. I thought this would stop that. It only got worse not only is she still shredding she refuses to use them. Now we're back to the beginning and it's not going well.
