i love this trash can, i usually walk towards my trash can with both hands full.. so nice to just step on the bottom and the lid opens up all the way, EVERYTIME... i do a lot of cooking, my hands are usually covered from cutting or dicing and slicing... i dont want to touch my trash can to get my hands dirty or the lid dirty.. hands free is great.

I really like this trash can. I especially like that it's larger (20 gallon compared to 13 gallon) . (I use 30 gallon bags in it). I also like that it holds the bags, no more bag falling into trash can! It opens and closes quietly. The opening is much wider and bigger than my old 13 gallon can.

I had been looking for a kitchen trash can for quite awhile. Either the reviews said the lid didn’t work or they cost over $100! Then I found this one! The lid works perfectly. The bags are easy to put in and hold well. And the price was great. I’m very pleased and highly recommend this product.

This model has a lip that you can use to lift the lid OR use the floor pedal. No need to get the version that has a button to push on the top to flip the top open (like my last version). That button takes more work than lifting this lid and you have the additional option of using the pedal. The full garbage bag slides right out without the struggle that I've been having with my old garbage can. The slight funnel shape of this design ensures that the top opening is slightly larger than the bottom....so nothing snags on anything. I wish I'd gotten this one years ago.

This Glad Kitchen Trash Can with Lid, Step Foot Pedal and Garbage Bag Rings is a great trash can. Solidly made, great quality. I like how the bag fastens in. I’m just confused as to why trash cans, in general, are so expensive. Not just this one, I shopped around. Since they ALL seem to be expensive, I went with the trust Glad name. I bought some nice scented bags to use in it. Other than paying so much, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Appeared to be a return, but it still deserves 5 stars. Works exactly as advertised and the quality is really good.

I looked over available trash cans and this one was exactly what I wanted. It must have been previously sold and returned because it came to me assembled and without any additional packing. The lid sometimes slipped by itself into an open position but I think I've corrected that. It's now working as expected and I'm pleased with the purchase.

The pedal fully works BUT if you hit it really hard the top will open and stay open rather than closing automatically. I then need to tap or shake it to get it to close. The reason is that the lid if fully opened can actually sit perpendicular and stay open without closing. That can actually be a good thing if you want it to stay open such as when peeling potatoes or something. Just be aware it might happen by accident if you hit the pedal too hard.

The appearance is ok. It's how it functions that is the problem for me. When you step on the lever to open the whole trash can moves. It's too light weight. Came home one day %26 my dog knocked over the trash can %26 made a big mess.

After 2 weeks of use the foot pedal no longer lifts the lid. The lid doesn't close on its own. And the bag holders are configured in such a way as there are gaps for trash to fall down.
