So we had one of the expensive metal trash cans with the bin inside. The bags kept getting caught on the bin and tearing. I went online and saw this trash can. Instead of the bin it has folding clips that holds the bag up. Let me just say my family loves this trash can over the metal one. The clips hold and the bag never rips. Even though this cost less this is definitely a better build, and easier to use.
I love this Glad Plastic Step Trash Can. It is just the right size that I needed for my basement areas. I like that the step part is easy to step on. It doesn't get stuck like others. I like the insert where you put your trash ban and it holds it in place. This can is well worth the money.
Can was exactly what I wanted. Would like to update previous reviewers. . Garbage can is delivered in a large box and the top of the can is already attached now. I remember reading that previous reviewers had difficulty attaching the lid. Problem solved. Great value as usual at Walmart.
I like the size of the trash can. I have a mastiff who loves to have trash snacks and this trash can is taller than her which is a huge plus. Even though it is big it's not overly big for indoor use. Another plus is when you lift the whole lid the contents are still protected (my doggo is smart and has easily figured out how to open all the previous cans we have tried)
I procrastinated this purchase for way too long. I wasn't doing the right research on these types of garbage cans. All the ones I found in my search results were upwards of $50-100. I had a swing lid and I hated it so much. It was disgusting. I wanted something that would completely eliminate direct contact. It was hard and nasty to scrape things off of plates, the plates had to touch the trash can. Then food would get on the trash can. I've needed this step trash can desperately. It is perfect. It's much bigger than my last. Trips to the sinister are fewer. There's no smell in my kitchen. It's nice on the eyes, my last was an ugly red. The pedal is high like other reviews say, but I've already gotten used to it and don't even notice it. Plus it's only $20! I love it so much I named it. Noir!
This Glad Plastic Step Trash Can , 20 Gal. is perfect for my family of three. 20 gal. bags fit perfectly with room to spare. The can is plastic but attractive and yet sturdy. The step-to-open is very handy. I only wish that the lid would close automatically. But not a big deal. I no longer have to empty the can daily like I had to with the 13 gal.
I bought one to see the quality and for 20 bucks it is not bad at all. No it is imperative when you get it to hook the metal thing threw lid then put lid on top and faceing back of can push it down til it clicks in place and make sure it snaps in correctly. If you don't like the other people who wrote bad reviews because they overlooked the instructions on the inside of lid then you will get a lid that lifts up when you press petal. If you make sure it snaps in then you will have a wonderful working can! I ended up getting 3 total for my whole house. I am definitely pleased. You should never have to take the lid off after you install because it has neat lil bag holders built in so you can easily slip bag in and out. For 20 bucks i feel like this can was worth it. Plus it is a great size. I upgraded from 13 gal tal to these 20 gal trash cans and it makes a huge difference.
It sounds strange, but this can is sleek and looks so great in our kitchen. Was hesitant to buy since most plastic cans look cheap, but this was NOT the case with this can. Furthermore, the size is perfect for our bigger family. No more taking the trash our multiple times a week. Thrilled with this purchase!
Nice size. Be even nicer if my store had bags for it. You can use regular 13g bags as long as you don’t go nuts stuffing it. Dubious odor protection in lid. I guess there’s some sort of antibacterial coating. Great the LID won’t stink. Anything else in the can is gonna smell like it’s supposed to. Has a tendency to slide backwards on tile. Because of the shape, it leans forward when backed into a wall. Currently have it on cardboard until I can outfit it with nonslip feet. Nearly impossible to open without using the pedal. Need to lean over and toss something in? Forget it. You’ll need to square up and use the pedal.
Worse trashcan ever. It has a pole that runs from the bottom part that you step on to open it. Well it once you attach the lid. It doesn't stay snapped to the Trashcan so it opens the back of the lid just a little and the front where you throw trash in is completely closed. Waste of money don't waste your money buying this.
